One of the best things you can do (and I'm surprised they didn't mention this) is when your premiums start to go up, switch insurance companies. The more you stay with the same company, the more your rates will increase. Cause they figure you're too lazy or too busy to switch to a different company.

What is insurance? In case something happens. What happens when nothing happens? Do I get my money back? No.What happens when something does happen? You find out you're not covered for that.

Car insurance is the biggest legal scam in America. You are never paying for your own accident, (if you never get in one) you are always paying for someone else's. Than if you actually get into an a accident, you've got to pay a 500-1000 premium for your coverage to even go into effect. Paying car insurance every month is like a non-refundable deposit you never get back and doesn't do anything for you accept give you some unrealized "coverage" printed on a piece of paper. It's nothing tangible that you can hold or touch. When the month is over and you haven't been in an accident for that month, your monthly payment is paying for someone else's accident. Thats why they increase your monthly payments year after year, even when you've submitted no claims, because others are getting into accidents. The entire system needs to be reformed. For instance every customer should have a holding account. If they are paying a monthly fee. They take a percentage and put it in the holding account for the customer until it reaches the premium they need for an accident. Then when they have to pay the premiums it just comes out of what they have ALREADY been paying. And it's not this ridiculous second fee that has to be paid.

Inflation? Increased weather incidents? All excuses. Valid to an extent. How about all those stupid commercials these companies spend our money on? Progressive and that stupid Flo character. Geico with all the lizard and caveman commercials. Mahomes, Reid, and Kelce from State Farm, etc. Quit with all the unnecessary spending and pass the savings to YOUR customers.
