How to See the Statue of Liberty | Staten Island Ferry

How to see the Statue of Liberty up close for FREE? Take the STATEN ISLAND FERRY! It can be a little confusing, so I'm here to share my ten years of experience as a licensed NYC tour guide to help you get the BEST seats in the house!
Taking the Staten Island Ferry will also give you BEAUTIFUL views of the Manhattan skyline and Ellis Island! (And I'll share a few secrets of the skyline as well!)

Hello We purchased tickets for the liberty statue cruise for 10am. I have a doubt if the time refers to the entrance to the island or the departure of the ferry. What advice can you give us so we don't arrive late? thanks

It's technically the time you're supposed to enter the security line. This might change in the future, but I've never seen them care that much about exact entry times.

How long you have to wait with buying tickets + security screening, when you are there maybe on Tuesday / Wednesday at 8 o'clock in the morning ?

You dont buy tickets or go through security on the Staten Island Ferry. They do have police dogs there ready to sniff out anything suspicious....but in general it's show up at the building and walk in.
