Can you make a video about the actual process of making the segmentation including the if/else statements?

Yo! I'm thinking about converbox instead of RightMessage... what do you think about it?
@maxvcollenburg4 жыл бұрын
Hey Javier! I haven't used Convertbox, but I looked at it a while ago. Seems like you can create quite a cool opt-in survey with it, but it doesn't look like you can segment visitors with it after they opt-in. So I guess it depends a bit on what you want to do exactly. I can see why Convertbox' lifetime deal is pretty tempting 😄

The welcome surveys has been working amazing for me, but I also like & use the other two methods.

So when you're asking so many variables, do you have email follow up to like 20+ different kinds of groups? Feels overwhelming. Thoughts?
@maxvcollenburg2 жыл бұрын
Keep it simple, don't overwhelm yourself too much! You can collect as much info as you like, and just use what makes sense to you. I've some email where I just insert one or two lines that are personalized based on one custom field, but also a few others where I use 4/5 variables. Rarely use them all at once.

Hey Max! Love your videos, have learned a lot already! Thank you! One question, though: I'd like to use a multiple choice survey instead of these one option methods. What tools could you recommend?
@maxvcollenburg3 жыл бұрын
Hey Daisy! Happy to hear my videos helped you! 😄 For multiple-choice surveys, I personally really like SuperForms. It's a super affordable & powerful WordPress plugin that allows you to make all kinds of cool surveys.

@@maxvcollenburg Thanks for your quick answer! Unfortunately, we work with another page builder. So within the 3 ways you describe you don't see any chance we could change that to a multiple choice survey? With any other software, that provides this possibility and which is also immediately connected to active campaign to give the tags? :(

Max, this is one of most useful videos i've come across. i've a question though. it's pretty complicated but let me try to make it easy for you. suppose i've a list named A. this is my main list. this list opted in for a Make Money Online Product. now there are many obstacles or struggles that customers go through and not everyone in the list A is the same. So i need to ask them questions or segment them based on their struggles. so for example in the list A, i need to ask them (consider an existing list) about what struggles are they facing that's preventing them to take action to reach their goal from the MMO product. there problem can be many. but let's say i give them three options from which they can choose one struggle --"struggling to make the website", "I don't know how to install wordpress", "I don't know which wordpress template to choose." now keep in mind that this list A is undergoing an email sequence and this is the main sequence they will be going through 40 emails lets suppose. they will be receiving emails from the main sequence. in addition, but based on their answer from the 3 options i mentioned above, i want to segment them and take them to new lists, lets say the list name is B for people who answered the same question, list name C for people who answered another question and list name D for people who answered another question among the 3 questions i've asked them. meaning i need to put customers to 3 different list based on their 3 different unique answers to the questions i asked in the main list A. is this possible? if it's possible can i have three different small sequences of suppose 3-4 emails for this 3 different lists B,C,D? let me make it more clear for you. lets say the main list has 10,000 subs. i need to segment these subscribers based on their single answer from the 3 struggle questions that i would ask them inside the email and put them to 3 different sub lists--for example list B, list C, list D. remember i need to just move them from list A to list B or C or D and not remove from list A because they need to go through the sequence of the main list A. Which means, these people will be in two lists. in list A for sure and in list A and B, A and C or A and D. is this possible? if yes, can i run small sequences of 3-4 emails to address their issues in the list B, C & D ? sorry for the long read, but this is the holy grail of email marketing....:)

Heyhey! Happy to hear you find this video useful 😄 I would personally not recommend to create lists for such segmentation groups because things can get messy quickly that way. Create two lists; - Customers - Leads And create a bunch of custom fields for each of your individual segmentation groups; - Current Struggle - Current Goal - Best way to help Then, create your series of emails for each of your segments, and add them to those automations depending on those values of those custom fields. The benefit of those custom fields is that someone can only be in one segment at a time, while with lists things can get messy quickly if someone would opt-in multiple times. Hope that helps! - Max P.S. If you want to go really deep on this, be sure to check out my ActiveCampaign Mastery course: www.maxvancollenburg.com/p/activecampaign-mastery/?EMHyAm4kgg

@@maxvcollenburg Hey Max, i checked out your course. i'm gonna tell you something about it shortly. but before that i need to know something. Firstly, i need to know, can i tag customers + take them to a sublist by using a smart link inside my email body copy in Active Campaign? the reason is, i need to run a short email sequence to that sublist in order to sell the product related to their interest. Secondly, only by tagging, is it possible to run an auto email sequence to tagged customers of a particular interest? i need to keep it all automated. Remember, i would be having a main list. from there, i need to sometimes segment customers to sub-lists through storytelling about a relevant product when i need to sell. for providing value i can tag them only to understand which customers are interested in which stuff. Tagging is a must. i can also email to the tagged list. but that's a manual process. i'm a copywriter, and i;m trying to hone into email marketing. about your course, as a copywriter, my observation is, your payment option is not attractive enough. you could've broken down into even smaller amount of installments. like 5 payments of the total amount. this shows more confidence. (this is just a suggestion, i'm not saying you don't have confidence :) ). keep in mind, there are lot of countries in the world. and payment of half the amount at one go with your payment option sometimes becomes difficult for customers to afford it. now if you have the attitude of either take it or leave it, that's a different story altogether. This is just a suggestion. not criticism. :) i would want your course to sell more, and i am talking from a customers' point of view. Take care and please let me know about questions if you can. i like your channel and have subscribed. your delivery is easy. the biggest thing a KZbinr should possess is to express difficult things in an easy way so that people can understand. you somewhat have that element. Cheers.

I would personally not recommend to create sub-lists for such segmentation groups because things can get messy quickly that way. I would use only custom fields, or tags. You can create a separate automation that is segmenting people based on which links they click, which pages they visit, etc. Then, this tag or custom field, could trigger a new automation automatically if you like. --- Regarding the payment options: I used to have a 6 installment plan, but people would abuse it and not finish the payment plan.

How to you segment based on behavior
@andrewb57432 жыл бұрын
segment email list strategies: 1. dropdown options on landing page 2. welcome survey after sign up 3. email links (for current subscribers)- pick one of the links below that describes you best.
@nikkisartvideos64123 жыл бұрын
Hey Max! This is right on time as I’m looking to segment my existing subscribers. Quick question: I was curious if you could use a combination of tags and goals based on the links in the email they select. In AC you can immediately apply a tag to a subscribers who click a link and then the automation would basically be, if they received this tag, they’d reach a goal and that goal would update the custom field for Specific Product. Would that streamline the automation some or no?
@maxvcollenburg3 жыл бұрын
I personally like to use custom fields to store segmentation into because they can only have one value at the time. With tags, it can get a bit messy if they would for example click multiple links. Hope that makes sense! 😄
