Saying you want your waist size to be less than the length is ridiculous advice. If you are shorter or heavier then your waist size will of course be bigger than your inseam, and that is fine. Big guys have a 42 inch waist. Do you think they need a 44 inch inseam? The proper rule is to buy your jeans long enough so at a minimum they touch the top of your boots. They can also be longer so you can cuff or "stack" them.

Everyone seemed to go to Wrangler back in the 80's but I started wearing Lee Riders in the 60's and I really liked them and I'm just too old to quit now, however, they're getting harder and harder to find.

What In the hell is going on here, I can't even I find my 20 X / 32x30 jeans, nor can I find my 20 X no 23/relaxed fit jeans, and I can't even find my regular Cinch jeans size 32x30. Good grief, THEY'RE EITHER TO BIG TO SMALL, TO SMALL TO BIG, WHAT THE F***, I've been to several places in Colo, Wy, and NEBR. None have my size, and I've bought some from them before, no more.
