I HAVE A 1985 CORVETTE THAT NEED'S A TONS OF LOVE AND THE INJECTORS ARE NOT WORKING, I JUST INSTALLED A NEW ONES, SO THIS INFO GIVE ME A GOOD START CHASE THE PROBLEM. IS A PROJECT CAR, SO I DON'T KNOW IF I WANT TO FINISH THE CAR. I MAY SELL IT BEFORE, BUT AT LEAST I WANT TO HAVE THE ENGINE RUNNING AND TRANSMISSION. SO I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR TIME IN MAKING THIS VIDEO. ๐ค

I would like to Thank You.This is BY FAR the most comprehensive collection of videos to do with the fuel system on the 1984 corvette i could find.I and i am sure many others appreciate the time you put in to making these videos.I have yet to track the source of my crank but no start but im sure that when i do,it will be in a big part due to your videos.

Thanks for the comment Jason, glad the videos are helping someone. These crossfire engines and issues really intrigue me. Mind if I ask, did you look into the Coolant Temp Sensor on the front of the engine block....those things are very problematic, stick open and trick the ECM into thinking the temperature is -40 F flood the throttle bodies and the throttle position sensor also sticks in wide open position then the ecm goes into "clear flood" mode...these crossfires just will not start. Another issue is the battery needs to be at 12 volts for good engine cranking speed...finicky engines but fun to mess with. Be intereted to know what you find.

@@HorseshoeBeach Havent made it to the coolant temp sensor yet.Bought the car a month ago it ran fine and it just shut off driving,tried to start it back and it was sputtering for a bit then quit and wouldnt start back.I realized later that the battery cut off on it had almost opened and had been running off the alternator when it quit but cleaning and reattaching didnt help.It wont engage the fuel relay(bought new relay and harness didnt help).Getting power to A,E and 2 sec pulse on C but still doesnt engage relay.
@jasoncoomer12265 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
Would the coolant sensor keep fuel relay from engaging?Im still new to this wiring stuff but trying my best to learn,im starting to understand the schematics but they are still a little foreign to me.
@jasoncoomer12265 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
Is there a way to test the coolant sensor?Sorry for all the questions at once lol Oh and i can jump E and A on the relay and can hear the pump run then
@HorseshoeBeach5 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
Yeh, but reading your issue and problem, I don't think the CTS is the problem Jason.

Best help videos i have seen!! I have an 84 and im having injector issues now. Thanks for the great video!
@HorseshoeBeach6 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
thanks glad they are helping someone....what's up with your injectors?
@vanderbroek16 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
3DELTA7 bad ground at ecm, also corrosion at the fuse box, running like a top now! I bought the car as a project car it is a basket case but im having a blast with it! Love a good challenge.

@@vanderbroek1 sorry I know this is old but what did you do to fix the bad ground? I'm having the same problem

Hi I have a 1993 Chevy Silverado 5.7 my fuel injector keeps spraying and floods out the TBI do you think itโs the ECM gone bad
@HorseshoeBeach2 ะฐะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
@KaimuKII I know very little about a 93 Silverado, but on a crossfire that sounds like a bad coolant temp sensor. Maybe o2 sensor thinking the engine still cold? Good luck.

On my 84, when I go up hill like the driveway. It stalls out... Any thoughts?
@HorseshoeBeach7 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
just off the top of my head...this is gonna sound funny but, make sure your brake lights work, as there is a brake light switch under the drivers side dash activated by the brake pedal...BUT it is a 2 way switch that also controls the torque converter clutch....They were very very prone to burning out. If the alternator and or battery are really not functioning correctly like idlle drops down it can affect the transmission (believe it or not) idle gets so low not enough voltage to operate things....like a diode burned up in the alternator....causing severe ripple in the charge...dropping of to zero volts....other than that right now Jeff....not sure.....not real sure about this right at this moment but driving up a hill would affect the tranny pretty sure the sensor gonna draw more power. here is something I was working on earlier this year : from interenet--------- Don't disregard those simple sensors when you have a transmission problem. ... Excessive AC interference from a bad alternator can travel through the electrical system and cause the computer to misread vehicle speed and RPM sensor signals. Finally, old and tired batteries are notorious for affecting transmission operation. AC interference being alternating current from a bad diode''' I guess as a start I would make sure all my voltage and charging system was functioning at its PEAK...my family yealling at me to "come on" so I'll talk to you tomorrow.
