Correction 5:48 Visa rules are same for each and every province as student visa is provided by federal government. Just in case of Quebec you had to apply for CAQ which is the permission letter from Quebec government to study in Quebec. Not required for rest of the provinces.

University ranking is just a marketing tool. What truly matters is the fact that you have the skills that would as value to wherever organization you might end up working. Having graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in the world, I had very difficult time landing a job. Sure enough I gained knowledge in my field and built connections with industrial professionals but nothing helped when I wanted a decent paying job.

You guys are very lucky in India because you have colleges in every corner of India. But in Sri Lanka, that is not the case. We have only two IT / Engineering Universities that are very difficult to enter and those Universities are highly recognized by Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard and MIT. If you could not enter either of these two Universities, you cannot become an IT/Engineering graduate and you have to look for other jobs.

I have applied in the following Universities and have offer from University of Waterloo. 1) McGill University(MEng in Ece department) 2) U of Alberta(MEng in Ece) 3) McMaster(Both MASc and MEng in Ece) There are some unique options which I won't get in University of Waterloo(But its advantage as they also offer MEng students to do specialisation with MEng program) 1) Obviously McGill is too good and students get a term break for internship in an year. 2) Fees of U of Alberta is very low. 3) McMaster provides co op So for Job perspective, which option is good according to you, If I get admit from these too.
