BRUH!!!! you just alleviated close to a year of pain and aching ive been having in my left pelvis. It was affecting everything in my life and i couldnt workout, squat, or lift because of this. I legit could not turn over in bed while sleeping without hip pain/thigh pain waking me up. I've been doing these movements 2-3 times a day and can't believe the instant relief. Bless you! I mean it, life changing.

This video changed my life 6 days ago! I haven't been able to walk or stand "normally" for over a decade (more like 20 years, but didn't want to sound dramatic). Tried it all. On day one things were different. Now I'm at Day 6 and seems like it's a permanent fix. (I've only done the first and 3rd exercise every other day, one time!) THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!!! My chiropractor told me that I had a "high hip", but his remedy was for me to come and see him 3 times a week. Basically - he did a manual adjustment followed by the blocks in this video. Now I can adjust my hips myself, whenever I need to. It's so liberating. :-)

+sparilis I agree this video has liberated me as well. I have been seeing my chiropractor for nearly a year for my "long leg", was in excruciating pain...even went out on tour with it. This has been an incredibly helpful video for me. It gave me a lightbulb moment of understanding why my body is in pain and what I can do to fix it permanently. After I watched the video, I stood with my feet right up against a wall and stood normally. Now that I knew what to look for, I could visually see that my pelvis was rotated to the left. In that moment, it all made sense. Now when I sit, stand, and walk I can train myself to do so with my pelvis facing forward instead of at an angle. Thank you so much for enlightening me and giving me the tools I need to feel better!

The high hip is the shorter because the muscles are tighter and are pulling it higher. It's usually accompanied by shoulder retraction and overactive quadratus lumborum on the same side as the high hip. You should stretch that QL and strengthen the opposite one along with many other muscles.

@stantheman19765 жыл бұрын
This really does work. I've had a shorter right leg for years. I started jogging and running in September 2017. The difference doesn't cause pain but it affects my stride and I have to pay attention and compensate while I'm running. I just tried the stretches here for a couple minutes and it brought my hip down enough to where there's almost no difference now.

Very good video; as a therapist i found it highly informing. I was also following along with the video since i do have a high rt and these exersises seem to work. However, would you explain why if the situation was reversed it's in the foot instead of the leg?
@mybackloop7 жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan: It can start in the foot. Commonly plantar fasicitis and Achilles tendinitis can start in the feet and cause dysfunction in the pelvis. Often the talus bone in the foot slides forward separating the tibia and the fibula resulting in instability in the upper and lower tib-fib joints. Sometimes it takes a little detective work. @mybackloop8 жыл бұрын
+Jacqui Holden Hi Jacqui: Strengthen the glute max on the side of the sciatica, as often it is the weakness of this muscle(glute) that causes the piriformis to tighten and compress the sciatic nerve. Good luck

Great for what I have following knee surgery!

I would also consider my new pelvic floor routine once it comes out as weak pelvic floor causes forward tilt and pelvic rotation and abnormal rotation in the ankle and knee. I find plantar fasciitis and knee issues of all sorts strongly related to pelvic floor.

Thank you for this hopeful cure. You might want to clarify your terms, and amplify on the discussion. The long leg really isn’t longer, it just ‘appears’ to be so, as the bottom of, in this person’s case, if she were wearing slacks, the pant leg would be higher up the leg. This is my case. My left leg, I like the way my pant leg comes down my leg nicely. The right, ‘long leg’ pant leg hangs higher up the leg, w my ankle showing. Also, this hip rotation causes my right foot to ‘splay’ outward, and causes inflammation above right knee (inner thigh). Hopefully your treatment cures will work.

Great observation. Coupling this with my NEW pelvic floor routine will work great for you.

You likely have a pelvic floor issue here as well. My new protocol should help this hip correction to better maintain but let me know how your doing. Dr. C

Dr. Chuck Tillotson, D.C. I’m doing the leg fold routine. I also put block under right thigh and block under back on left.

Hi Jeannette, great and nice to hear....that's really what it's all about...Learning what to do that works and knowing when to do it. I am working on a simple effective protocol to build health and independence.

I like the framework here for understanding anterior rotation. The blocks were something I was recently figuring out on my own regards to sleeping next to a heavy man to my supine left. My hips fall toward his weight so in the morning I place a flat pillow under my left seat bone and let things open up for about 5-10 min. Dont you think this could be a common cause for this common problem? I have been very tempted to move up to a king bed with 2 twin mattresses.
