I work in a private bank with a certain “type” of clients. The ones that can afford to buy 10mil private jet. But hearing Steve is like going to school. A true gentleman and a real businessman
@TheChuky18
@TheChuky18 Жыл бұрын
Do they have over 10mil when they finance/buy a 10mil jet, or less? Or way more? I mean they just finance because clearly you dont spend such an amount on 1 thing even if you have enough, right? But i wonder if you buy a jet even if you have less, like normal people buy a house and finance because they dont have it
@Alberto1993
@Alberto1993 Жыл бұрын
@@TheChuky18 it depends. Usually they have more than 10mil. But you don’thave to. The important thing is the cash flow. If you have enough cash flow you can pay a finance for the jet. Usually my clients are private or company that have the amount of money but invested in stock or etf. So they don’t want to disinvest to buy a jet. We finance part of the jet, the other part is cash.

@@InvestAndGrow2020 good question. It depends. I think there are few variables. Childhood education, manners and most important if the person earned that money or are inherited. Usually are very careful about commissions (talking about few cents cost on a bank transfer). Very spoiled about everything. Fr, I had a guy trying to nag down my 3000$ motorcycle to 2500 for almost an hour. That was just the time spent on the price, he took almost an hour inspecting it and couldn’t find any faults except that he didn’t like the color. I had plenty of pictures in the ad and you could tell the color of the 50 cars in the background, the eye color of the bird in the sky but somehow the color of the bike was a surprise for him.

Yeah. This is for many reasons. Once you get past a certain dollar amount - the minority wealthy people - they’re buyers, they’re serious, they know what they want and you’d never look for a Jet unless you have an intent to buy. Cars in the other hand, anyone can buy one with good credit bad credit cash, etc. millions of cars out there and people like me even look for cars often as a hobby and if I come across something I like but never planned on buying I’ll engage with the seller.

Steve wanted the guy or girl, to have a real conversation face to face and find the best fit for them based on their needs, but from what the guy said the buyer just wanted to spend a certain amount of money, maybe a little more, to go from X to Y in a luxurious plane, that's it. In this case Steve has two choices imo, he could make the sale, by giving them what they want, but with the risk of them complaining later, because they find out luxury and number of miles aren't the only important aspects in a private jet, resulting in bad publicity or stand his ground and educating the buyer in making a thoughtful purchase, but with the risk of coming off arrogant, boring them or make them think he's wasting their time and ultimately losing the sale.
@CrackedCandy
@CrackedCandy 11 ай бұрын
Dealing with anyone other than the decision maker, the end buyer is a waste of time. That's why he wanted her on the call. The next best was the accountant, who will improperly interpret the presentation. Once you reach this level of wealth there are people that cant trust weasels so their financial planners intercept all of these people for them. Kinda like the wil smith movie hitch.

I’d say in this case the smoothness of travel overcomes everything. I was in a dassault 12 seater above 30,000 ft and thought the thing was coming apart in turbulence. I could be totally off, but from being in tech sales for a decade and having the prospect; A) hide the buyer, B) ask for info to be sent over, & C) seem over confident in his buying ability, in my experience these are people who are tooting their own horn and just making the call to feel important. Again, I could be wrong, but I'd be interested in discovering if a deal was really made. The royal family buying a 20yo jet seems off...

You can bet that she’s going to have savings with this line of credit when taxation comes. I might be wrong, but this kind of brutal expenses allows her to have a tax deduction since now she is owing millions of dollars, while she can literally rent the plane half of the time and not even losing money. You know that she is truly wealthy when she’s not caring at all in these details and have smart people hired just to accomplish her desires. Is even kinda sad at some point lol

Big families. They aren’t all trillion sites or billionaires or even centi millionaires. They essentially get massive allowances. So she can live lavishly and doesn’t worry about saving money per say. Hence why she is using debt to buy a plane. She has cash flow but probably isn’t crazy wealthy inherently since she probably doesn’t care about building her own net worth to a massive degree. I see this a good amount at American universities
