The issues with niching this specifically is 1. you will get bored of what you do, doing the same thing over and over. 2. You won't grow as a designer or have variety in what you do, and 3) your work might become redundant quickly with the progression of AI tools. I know you can use these tools to your advantage, but AI will get so good for this kind of thing that there may be no need at all for you if sites become extremely easy to build for a novice.

Yes but most of the people does not know how to use AI today, take it to your advantage
@PaytonClarkSmith6 ай бұрын
Valid points here. Here is my take but I could be wrong: 1 and 2. I personally think that even if you get bored of it, it would be worth it to make a bunch of money and provide a good life for my family. Then once I have done that, I can use my time and resources to explore my other creative ideas that bring me fulfillment. But I do understand your concern about getting bored and not growing as a designer and that’s valid. 3. as for AI, I think any person in any industry could have the same fear, but as of right now we are not yet to the point where it’s taking our jobs so we might as well continue to do our best, and do what works and we can adjust when needed.

My thoughts as the person mentioned in the video: 1. I don't see that happening. I love working/speaking with this niche. And this may sound funny, but I honestly think I have things so systematized that I can't get bored. There is literally no time to get bored lol. And if I do get bored I'll just hand an SOP to someone and continue to make money from this industry and find something else to do. 2. I disagree. While the layouts are the same, I still have a lot of fun experimenting with the actual design. But also I don't really want to grow as a designer. That's not my goal and it isn't something I've ever thought about. My goal is to grow a scalable business that gives me the freedom to sleep whenever I want and I have totally accomplished that goal. 3. I'm not afraid of AI lol

I heard about this model before (and really want to try this) but the issue I think most agencies have is that their marketing (if they have any to begin with) is focused on generating a fairly small amount of leads for high ticket services. This means that they have to convert their leads into high-ticket clients to be profitable. This type of productized low-ticket design service requires mass-scale marketing that most agencies/freelancers never do. I.e. mass cold emails/calls, extremely good SEO for a specific niche, Meta ads, etc. Would be nice to learn more about marketing this type of service, because everything else about it sounds great :)

I can create good web designs, but how can I guarantee the business owners that with the website I created will increase their sales or grow their business? GUARANTEE is the main word here and most of the business owners ask for it and expect that my work will help them grow. Please answer this or possibly make a video on it.
@PaytonClarkSmith6 ай бұрын
Guaranteeing Leads or Sales with web design alone is really difficult. It is much easier when you also offer some sort of marketing services like ads or SEO. But with that said, as you do more websites in your niche, you will start to get a good feel for what type of results people get with just the new website alone. Then you can just share those results. In case studies with new clients to show them what might be possible. This way you can show them the potential without making any promises you can’t keep

the price point has to be lower for a templated design because they noticed you are using a template. perhaps his point is, you can churn out more websites in less time using templates at a lower price. But I would rather work less for more money than more for less.

@PaytonClarkSmith6 ай бұрын
This is a reasonable opinion. But we can’t let our own egos/opinions get in the way of what the client wants/needs. Definitely, there are instances where the only solution is a custom build, but many clients need something that works and is reasonably priced… that’s where this strategy comes in!
@thedarrenpeel6 ай бұрын
I mean they ARE essentially buying the template. These are designed to be templated or productized websites. If they just bought a template then they still need someone to build it. You can sell just the template… a templated website service like this… or fully custom. The point is to offer what the clients need and let them choose what is best for them.

Sure but keep in mind it's not up to you as the seller to educate them on all available options in the marketplace. You're simply providing a quality solution to their existing problem.

I hear ya, but many clients don’t really care if the copies are identical. They much rather have someone ‘just get it done’ for them. As long as it looks good, mobile responsive, and does what they want (bring more clients/customers/eyeballs), they’re generally happy.

@@thedarrenpeel they don't. buy the template, they buy a system that is installed and cared for. Good clients don't have the time or will to do the website themself
