Cheers! Very helpful. I've sent money to a friend numerous times. This time I just wanted to know how to send it to myself for cash pickup at an overseas destination. Western Union lets you do this.

When I enter the receiver's address is it the receiver's home address or the western Union address they are collecting from? Do they need to prove their home address if it's there home? This is the part I'm confused about. If im the reciever from Australia and in another country, do i enter my home address in Australia or the address of my hotel in the country i am staying in?

Do I not need to provide information about which pick-up point I want to send it to? Can the money just be picked up from anywhere in the country I select?

Aaarh. Got the answer from the very last sentence. The answers is yes. The money can be picked up from any western union location in the country you select.

That looks very straight forward. But. I want to send cash to myself in s foreign country and I am asked for bank account details of that country. I obviously don't have that. Please help.

I am an American in Mexico. I want to send myself cash to pick up in Mexico, but I have a US ID card/passport. When I select Mexico as the receiving destination, I can ONLY enter an ID that includes a Mexican state (ex. I cannot select California from the drop down of the receiver's ID info). What should I do? I can enter my ID with all the correct info except the state listed on my ID...seems risky. I can send money to my American "receiver" identity, but then I assume I will only be able to pick up the money in the US.
