Can I send over a video of my serve and have Ian giving me some tips? my serve is lagging big time behind my ground strokes, I have tried everything to fix it but no one has been able to detect the issue! Thanks a lot.

Man this is massive...I had this problem because after impact I was going sideways and I realised that I wasn't tossing the ball high enough...so the back by being in extension it must go in flexion at the moment of impact and if you're not hitting the ball on the highest point you will always go sideways....it helped me a lot.

The 'checkpoint' moments of the serve are key. The most critical improvement area for each player will differ, so recording and freeze-framing the moments are an important exercise along the way of progress. For example, my vertical angle in the trophy pose is close to Djokovic, as well as the racquet drop to waist level or below. However, I need to keep closed with my racquet face on edge longer and my pronation through/after contact is slow/stiff. Great stuff once again from Essential Tennis!

Hey, Should you see the ball at contact because lately i lost consistency on my serve i also tend to not fully extend my torso but more in a too much forward manner than in a left to right manner.... Could i send you a Video`?

There is one important thing that you really can see on this video, it may be not in a direct link to this video but I think it's important. The wrist relaxation...u can see that this guy does not have at any moment his wrist relaxed and look at Ira just at the end of this video when he is simulating a serve and see how relaxed and flexible his wrist is. Besides that his ok... he's regular and that is the most important...😉

John is a student who is very kinesthetically aware, something that helps the process tremendously. Can’t wait to show you his upcoming lessons! What are you working on in your game right now? -Kirby

I'm using Novak's serve as a template for learning how to serve because it looks easier -- at first glance -- to replicate compared to other players like Federer, Nadal, and the young nextgen players but what i discovered is that it's not as easy as i thought. Maybe Del Potro's serve is easier to pick up.
