Professional sound engineer here. A) is clearly the shotgun mic, I suggest picking up a better quality lavalier mic. The mics they send with wireless kits are trash. I suggest you try a Sanken Cos-11 or a DPA. Also if you want to remove some of the reverberance in your room I suggest adding a thick rug and curtains on the other side of your room. What also works very very well is covering compressed fiberglass sheets with fabric and hanging them on the ceiling and walls.

I can remember hanging with my dad when I was little. Dad would be cleaning our" rifles. We had a couple 22's and a shotgun. Plus we also had my grandfather's "deer rifle". I don't remember what kind it was but we still have all of them. I'm rambling, sorry, but its odd how a certain smell can trigger a memory. I'm sitting here and I swear I can smell the gun oil and its been many years since back then. Memories can hit hard at times.

A sounds much clearer and we can hear all the noises of you handling the rifle like sliding ur hand on the barrel but has the slightest bit of echo from the room (not really that noticeable unless you listen for it). B removes any echo but sounds a bit muffled. I may be completely off but B sounds like the lapel mic and if so id maybe just play around with the positioning and EQ/Gain then do more surveys cause it has the potential to be better i think. either way, fantastic content as always. Sucks that KZbin's stupid gun content crack down forces you guys to have to stress so much about getting demonetized.

Persoonlik dink ek A, maar dit gaan afhang van die tiepe kyker. If your a headphones or speaker or external speaker or desktop watchers, that will change the watchers preferences. Because lepel mics (tensy jy n arm en n been betaal) most lepel mics have more low end than midrange or high range audio. Bottom line, it depends upon users speaker used and I like the big mic audio since its more clear, and a warmer sound.

A little bit of sand and dust after outdoor action. Nothing to dramatize about. If that rifle cant handle that then its too fancy and I wouldnt use it. You should maintain you weapon system, but dont stress about it.
