Thank you for the channel and videos! I'm 65 and been fishing all my life..ashamed to say it..but always have used "budget" equipment so when it quit working just buy another one! Now I have a collection and NOW I'm modding and cleaning them up..also..I use "simple green" to clean before lubing and it is safe for all the parts..thanks again!

I just watched this video my micro 11 the anti reverse wouldn’t work and would spin backwards I’m not sure what I done I just took it apart and put it all back together and now it seems to be working again

normally the end bell with line pickup pin has lots of dirt inside outer edge from muddy water off line and main part to inspect is the line pickup pin and outside of bell near pin as Braided line WILL cut into these areas causing them to get groves which will snag line and need replacement faster than Mono line ever does, same goes for inside of eyelets on Rods even if Ceramic lined.

Great point! Thanks for sharing that bit of wisdom. I will point that out in my next video. I have not encountered that problem yet. A good visual would help. I only use braid on one spinning reel and on my level wind Ambassadeur reels. I keep mono on all my Zebcos. Even on my Bullet.

that "Chemical Brush" also known as an "Acid Brush" is used for cleaning parts to be soldered like Galvanized Tin with acids to prep for water tight soldering. the bristles are a bit loose and often fall out so be careful not to get any left inside reel.

Got a question my son's rod keeps spooling up under right in front on the spool. Don't know why it how to prevent it. Any advice. I tried a 10# and just redid it with a 6# did the same thing

Generally the spool had a little fuzzy line keeper on the edge of the spool that goes under the spinner cone. Does your look like it is worn out? If it is, you can prevent this problem to a certain degree by not having so much line on the spool. Make sure the line is at no more than1/8 inch from the top. DO NOT overfill the spool with line. Take some line off.

They are nice little reels. Now it is called a 33 Micro. You can still get the Micro 11 on Ebay used. Zebco also made a Zebco 22, which was smaller than the 33 and larger than the 11.

Yes, I recently modified the two that I have. It makes them a much better reel! I videoed the steps and will post a video soon. It takes a 6x10x3 mm SS ball bearing. You can either order them from ebay or buy them from TackleService.com by searching for the ball bearing in the Micro 11 Gold. This is the part number I have used. BY097-01 Bearing 11MA (6x10x3 mm)

Also, I have modified many of my 33 Authentic reels and added 3 ball bearings making them 4 ball bearing reels. Essentially a 33 platinum. They are awesome. I have a video showing that too, but I need to finish it and post it.

I am having trouble with my 11. The line pops off the spool a lot of times on reeling in and stopped. I changed line and went to a lighter weight with no change. Been like this from almost new. Wondering if it is the line the problem or what I am doing, or the reel pickup.

Is the line getting jammed under the spinner head? If so, then more than likely you have too much line on the spool. Take off enough line so the line is at least 1/8 inch from the top of the spool. Try using 6 pound mono.

OutFishing13...I have a Zebco Micro 11 Authentic, sometime while fishing, i cast lure out and i can't get my line to catch and retrieve, until i give a little tug on line...could you tell me how to fix this?? Thanks;

Hi, Generally that happens for two reasons. First, your line is old and too stiff for the pick-up pin to grab it under the front cone. Next the pick-up pin cam has worn down and the pin doesn't stick out as far to grab the line. You can replace the line with new 6 pound test and see if that solves the issue. If the cam on the pick-up pin is worn down, you can pull it out a tiny bit with needle nose plyers. Just make sure that it doesn't stick out beyond the edge of the cone. Otherwise, you will need a new spinner cone. Zebco does not have the regular one for an 11 in stock, but they do have the one for an 11 Gold. This is the part number. maybe this China made reel dont have it but all of My Zebco made in USA Mini/Micros series reels have a lock screw for end caps that must be loosened before removal. also on the China made reels the classic metal Rod mounting shoe on all made in USA Zebcos has been replaced with a much thicker plastic Shoe which wont fit most Rods and only fits new China made Zebco rods which limits use of these Reels greatly. and older better quality Plastic parts in Reels are not as easy to damage as the newer China made materials.

Hey I have lever 11 zebco...line got under the spool shaft....I was using a knife to cut line out...I did not know it would screw off...the line pin was intermittent holding the line on retrieve..I took knife again...the main shaft Just slides in and out....I have brain injury And snuggle at how my mind can't figure out what I did wrong...things are similar but different from what you do....can you help me figure out the parts I need no.. This was given to me by my uncle ike.. I'm devastated..they don't make this anymore...I can give you my phone number If it can help....thank you let me know

Sounds like you dislodged the pickup pin spring. Take the spinner cone off and check that little spring.
