Honestly that's terrible advice. I've never seen a single service done on a 75 or zt in 15 years now using that plug on the diesel. You have a far better spot to pop off the radiator pipe near side kerb which means you also won't have to deal with coolant the seized coolant bolt or dripping down back of engine. It's a after thought from the BMW design. Plus you havnt mentioned about the need to have the thermostat operating correctly, using the in dash temperature data to know if its working or bleeding the cabin vents, which again that service bolt will only exasperate with poor bleeding. Using this method it's air locks and poor coolant circulation on an engine that runs shockingly cold.
