At 13:03 "This fella right here" There is a bolt there (you almost pointed right at it while pointing out the suction tube) holding the solid suction pipe in place. If you remove that, you don't have to mess with the spring loaded clamps on the rubber hose. Remove that bolt and the smaller one that holds the metal filter with magnet out. Pop lose the metal filter with magnet from the assembly and out she comes. You don't have to wrestle with the spring clamps and use a pic to move the rubber hose up, potentially damaging the rubber hose with the pic. It is a little tight with the backhoe frame, but still doable. Just wanted to pass this little bit of information along so everyone can do it easier and actually a little quicker. You might try this method next time you work on the filter for hydros.

Thanks Doug! I ran my business from this shop at home for a decade or so before moving it to a new location. It’s still set up as a great shop to work in in my retirement! Blessings, Jeff

Is the cylindrical filter difficult to disassemble a how does it come apart.. I have a 2032 r great video thanks
@thelogfather50022 жыл бұрын
Not hard at all, the tube is probably the hardest part. I have wheel spacers so that might help me a bit. Maybe you’ll need to remove the left rear wheel for better access.

The next time you check filter ., after taking it out use a magnet and keep putting it in the base of hyd pan and you will be surprised how much metal debris you bring out . You will bring out more then was on the filter

What size and brand of spacers do you have on the 2025 in this video?
@thelogfather5002 Жыл бұрын
Those are 2” from the John Deere dealer- I can only assume they’re frontier brand. They came with the tractor new.

@@thelogfather5002 yes true Jeff now how do find the 2025r for power
@thelogfather50023 жыл бұрын
@@jamesford9917 Plenty of power, I run out of traction first. When I've got more than 30cm of snow, I'd like more PTO power though, heavy wet snow bogs it down some. I've got to go very slow...

Why was that valve for the fuel shut off not holding mine did the same hard to believe that was residual. My tank was full Which JD doesn’t recommend changing when the tank is full I feel like that valve doesn’t hold ? Any thoughts
@thelogfather50022 жыл бұрын
I think it’s just dripping from the valve, not exactly through the valve, if you turn the key on to cycle the pump, will it pump from the tank?

I’m looking at a buying a 2025r. Any regrets on buying this tractor and not a bigger one? I’m looking at the 2032r too.
@thelogfather50024 жыл бұрын
BCXRS 19 No regrets at all. I like that it’s not tier 4 emission compliant. But most importantly I like that I can tow it on a trailer behind my truck. Any bigger, and it would have been a struggle.
@raelmacintyre9744 жыл бұрын
Jeff Hogue what size trailer do you use?

How do you like the 2025 or does it have lots of power
@thelogfather50023 жыл бұрын
For me, it’s the perfect balance of small tractor with plenty of power yet still light enough to pull behind my truck. I’ve had tractors or been around them my whole life so far, and power is not usually a problem, traction is the issue. This little fellow being 4wd will out pull its class for sure. I would like a bit more lifting capacity however. Thanks for watching! Jeff
@herbertbracy86794 жыл бұрын
You have a lift in your garage and you craw under neath the tractor .??? What am I missing
@thelogfather50024 жыл бұрын
I have 2 lifts in my shop at home... it’s not as easy as one would think to lift a compact tractor on it. I’ve got plans to build an adapter so I can get off the ground.

What kind of spacers do you have and how wide are they?
@thelogfather50024 жыл бұрын
They’re bought from John Deere, but I don’t think they make them. They’re 50mm wide, each side.

Shift to Neutral causes your pretty, expensive machine to pout; Several safety switches hinder starting 1. butt in seat; 2. left foot depressing brake; 3. parking break pressed (hard full court press) 4. STOPPING machine IN NEUTRAL, (left elbow Range Selector H - N - L ) otherwise, look longingly on your unmovable tractor, when; 1. You PARKED your operable machine at a decline, incline while in gear and the gears lock with pressure applied by inertia, 2. Some switch plug with male/female connectors gets pulled by debris you ran over while utilizing the power of machine over nature (I would humbly describe in detail this little bugger, but I am limited by physical acuity plus the weather outdoors SUCKS! This new machine is under warranty and the dealer does on the job technical diagnosis, at the rate of $147.50/hr (Clovis NM Western Equipment) is two-hours one-way, so... BUT their office technical supports listens to my checklist and WISHES me well.

I’ve lived with the same problem since this little tractor has been new. It’s my second tractor so I’ve learned the idiosyncrasies of these little beasts. All machines have issues, I’m comfortable with the green machine issues now. Thanks for watching! All the best, Jeff
