Your carb may be different - you may have an air mixture screw which is found on the air intake side or you may have a fuel mixture screw which is found on the engine manifold side. Most carbs won't have both. They do the exact same job, one just does it by regulating the air and the other does it by regulating the fuel so it doesn't matter which one you have, the procedure is exactly the same.

I am having trouble with my scooter I have tired to set the idle higher to stop this from happening but it idles fine when I just start it and take it out but when I come to a red light it cuts out sometimes but I have got the idle set as high as I possibly should at about 2000rpm and it is still cutting out at red lights and stop signs could adjusting this solve my issue?

Mines is plug I have no access to set it. But I do have a idle control set. The air/fuel on mines is cap no way I can adjust it unless I remove the cap. But I do have a idle control adjustment. I was wondering if I can adjust that, and if so how will it help on my scooter if I do adjust the idle control? Will it give more gas savings , will it run more faster or smoother. ?? Why is there a idle control adjustment for?

I have a piaggio typhoon 2013 and I turned the screw out approx 2 turns. If I give it full throttle while on stand, the scooter seems to stumble a little before picking up on acceleration. But if I cover the air intake a little it’s working fine. Does the air/fuel screw need another adjustment? And if so, clockwise or counterclockwise?

I've received my bike, on January 6 2021.And so I've had to replace the sparkplug 3 times Is the normal. The bike has 2400 km on it. I can change the plug it Operates fine, but after a little time it will just won't start or just dies. Its be nerve rattling at times.

Hello John I have a feeling that your motor is running to lean and is burning or melting your sparkplud eletrode tip you need to lower the temperature of your motor that will give a longer life to your motor and the sparkplug to lower the temperature of your 150cc gy6 scooter just change the main jet inside your carburator to a #115 main jet or if your location is at sea level place a #120 main jet that will lower your motor temprature also change oil to mobil 1 10w-40 full synthatyc because is slipperier than conventional oil which means less friction in your engine so your engine will run cooler, wears less and lasts longer. If i am having problems with starting my scooter when its roomtemprature or even colder....should i try to adjust the idle valve? My scooter were fine the fist few thousand miles. But, now it has become much more difficult to start it. I live in a cold climate so maybe the "default factory settings" need to be changed. Either that or my engine has low compression and my cylindre etc need to be changed.

My question is, what's that left side, straggler hose line coming out of the top of the carb used for? It's not connected to anything, right? I can't get spark because the engine - the EGR noise - isn't turning over. I watched videos - the EGR has a 'chain' or gear in it, I guess. It sounds like the noise is coming from behind the cover. I'll spare you the work I've already done replacing parts, checking, reverse engineering after replacing a fractured vacuum line from carb to EGR. Don't know how it all got out of hand. My lil' red scooter is all opened looking like an open heart surgery patient on the surgical table (I'm an ret'd RN).

Hello Lynda the straggler hose line coming out of the top of the carb is a over flow just in case the fuel is not able to go the the motor will go out from the top if to much pressure is on the lower part of the carb. Thank you for watching my video

Carbon buildup: Over time, carbon deposits can build up on the spark plug, causing it to turn black. This is more likely to happen if the scooter is used for short trips or if the engine is not properly tuned. Hello the scooter accelerates after you started up because of the enricher but you can set the idle screw lower after 3 minutes you started the scooter that is when the rpm start to relax a little and the motor is hot

Hello if you have a gy6 150cc you have only to tipe of pads one is sqare no abs amzn.to/3ygifpX and one is half moon shape with abs amzn.to/3yj4ZRe but the best thing you can do is to remove the one you have and make sure you buy the right one

Hello Robert did you check if your air filter is clean ? because if your scooter work great without the filter there is a chance that your air filter is dirty but sometimes the problem can be a dirty main jet inside the carburator. Thank you for watching my video

Let's say that you just want to idle high, nothing wrong with the the scooter you just want to idle high but not all the way high. Just alittle more high than the normal stock setting's. Will it hurt the bike if decide to idle bike high than usual?

Hello my friend that screw will only help when you are at idle around 1k rpm above that main jet will take care of the fuel flow so if you change lots of things on your scooter try to change your main jet base on your altitude that can help you a little . Thank you for watching my video
