How To Set Shift Lights & Clock On GSXR600, GSXR750, & GSXR1000

I have been meaning to do this video for SO long it's not even funny! I wanted to try to make this as easy and simple to understand as possible, many new owners have asked me about this and it's just easier to show you in a video. How to change/set/adjust your shift lights and clock on a gsxr600, gsxr750, and gsxr1000. Thanks for watching! =)

You left out a step brother. You can select if you want the shift indicator light for solid or flashing. After you first step press the adjust button for solid or flashing 🤙 thx for the video.

Hey if you want the shift light to flash when that menu first comes up press the top button and it’ll change it from solid to flashing.

Thanks buddy! This is very helpful. I just joined the ownership of a L1 Gixxer 600, without a user manual. It's interesting that I also own a Subaru WRX STI from the same era. A lot of the design are quite similar, like how the tachometer is laid out that is slightly tilted and the power band is right in the center top, and how to set the shifting indicator light. Both vehicles also have the front indicators mounted on the mirrors.

Project HTH it’s totally up to you, it’s personal preference really. You bike will still bounce off the rev limiter (14k) even if you set it at the lowest shift light (7k) it’s only a visual reminder. I’m not a huge fan of redlining my bike so I keep it just below redline so I know if I hit that shift light I’m almost out of RPM’s 👍🏻

Try using the selector if it was never turned on or the battery was dc it will not show a light until you hit the select once for a solid light and twice for a flashing light.

Why do gsxr bikes don’t come with abs, quick shifter, slipper clutch and traction control? I am looking into buying a new 2020 600 gsxr but the 2020 ZX6R has all this components for less the price. Is the gsxr still a better bike and worth paying more than the ZX6R?

You can have all that on a Gsx-R from the factory

It will work on all 750 and 600’s from 2011 and up. Just make sure you do the process correctly 👍🏻

I am here not for criticize but only to mention that there are plenty of those videos for GSX-R600, GSX650F, and all this Suzuki family. They all are functioning the same or almost the same. Waste of time ;-) But for those who are lazy in searching web excellent :D All this is in MANUAL :)
