I've pasted the part of the instructions on the alarm from the Ottlite website. The key is Under alarm mode, press “UP BUTTON” and “DOWN BUTTON” [AT THE SAME TIME] to turn ON/OFF alarm and snooze function. “MUSIC NOTE” icon will light up on the display to indicate alarm is set. “Zz” will appear on the display to indicate snooze is activated. [So the key is that when you don't see the "MUSIC NOTE" icon in normal mode then the alarm is OFF] ALARM & SNOOZE FUNCTION SETTING: • Under normal mode, press “MODE BUTTON” to enter alarm mode. • Under alarm mode, press “SETTING BUTTON” to enter alarm setting, press “SETTING BUTTON” again for next setting, the sequence of setting is: HOUR - MINUTE - SNOOZE - MUSIC and then exit. NOTE: There are 8-music tones to select. • Press “UP BUTTON” and “DOWN BUTTON” to adjust alarm time sequence. • Under alarm mode, press “UP BUTTON” and “DOWN BUTTON” to turn ON/OFF alarm and snooze function. “MUSIC NOTE” icon will light up on the display to indicate alarm is set. “Zz” will appear on the display to indicate snooze is activated. The “1” around the 5:00 minute mark is the sound that will play. You can tap the up or down arrows to change the tune - great considering number 1 is probably the most annoying tune lol.

Once you go into the settings like he explained you should be able to set both to 0:00 im pretty sure that’s how to turn it off preeminently (I’m trying it Myself 🤞🏼

Ok just to clarify. Once the music symbol is on and the snooze function is on and you hit the M button to go back the time that means that the alarm is set to go. So when you see the Music note and also the Zz I believe that being the alarm is set to go off at a time you programmed and then you hit the M button and it goes back to time and you can see the music note and the Zz and that means the alarm is set to go off and you can see the actual time as well. When I watched the video back I realize that I really wasn’t correct. Again I really hope this clarifies it thank you for watching.

Yes you are right. So long as you can see the music symbol and/or the Zz symbol, the alarm will go off once it reaches the programmed time irrespective of the mode on the display. To turn off the Alarm, hit the M button to put it to alarm mode (the solid clock icon on top of the hour). Then hit the up or down button until the music symbol disappears. If you still want the alarm to sound but don't want it to snooze, then turn the up/down button until only the music symbol displays on the screen. Hope this helps.

Is it possible to set the display to a lower light level? Seems like there are 2 settings available when you press the top button on the back. When the reading light is on there seems to be a dimmer display- I’d like that level at night.

The top button on the back of the ottlight is how you adjust the time and date dim light. No other adjustments for that just bright, low, and off.

You have to adjust your alarm settings so it goes off at a.m. not p.m. On these clocks it’s funny when you are in the alarm mode set up it does not show a.m. just p.m. it’s confusing.

This saved my life! No one came in the mail my mom just went through pressing buttons not knowing what she was doing and it somehow set the alarm for 2:00 a.m. every single day it's been waking up my 10 month old son and he doesn't go back to sleep for hours! completely unrelated but i really need a response, our ottlite just started to play a little beeping sound (it might be the song tone you were talking about), then turn off, the light saying that your phone is done charging was on even tho there was no phone, i moved it around and it would go on and off. That is totally normal there is a small magnet underneath that charge the phone. You have to get it just right for it to work

Omg.. you just saved me from smashing my father's desk lamp in frustration. As I had no idea what was playing in a high pitch "Wish u a merry xmas'. Every... Single.. Morning.. it was piercing and I'd been missing alot of sleep so I was losing patience. And I was also about be content with smashing the lamp and get ma pops another.. luckily I found your KZbin video BEFORE making a 'hasty' .... decision ? 😑 as I now see I'd be outta $50 to $80 as well as in for an awkward explanation as to why I attacked my dad's desklamp.. so Thank you for educating the ignorant primate within me. Do you have one with the Color ring on the bottom? I've been screwing around with this damn light to figure out HOW to turn on the color ring and how to get it to STAY on just ONE colour. It's a stroke of luck or just sheer willpower that I get the ring on the base to turn on at all. The "instructions" are 100% useless and I'm scared to used the "alarm clock feature" cause I've got ZERO CLUE how to turn the "Lullabies ringtones" this lamp has OFF. It took me 3 minutes just to figure out how to get the Date and Time right then another 7 figuring out how to get it from a 24hour clock to "Normal human time". This clock/lamp is the least user friendly experience I've ever had the displeasure of meddling around with, Cause I still haven't figured out how to turn on and off the light ring without going through 6 light cycles on this "Smart Lamp" 🙄

The easiest way to disable the alarm, if you don’t want it, is to remove the battery. That will also disable the time and date, but the light will be just fine if charged or connected to power.

I can’t turn the alarm and music off and don’t see a video describing how to do that. Please provide help!

ALARM & SNOOZE FUNCTION SETTING: • Under normal mode, press “MODE BUTTON” to enter alarm mode. • Under alarm mode, press “SETTING BUTTON” to enter alarm setting, press “SETTING BUTTON” again for next setting, the sequence of setting is: HOUR - MINUTE - SNOOZE - MUSIC and then exit. NOTE: There are 8-music tones to select. • Press “UP BUTTON” and “DOWN BUTTON” to adjust alarm time sequence. • Under alarm mode, press “UP BUTTON” and “DOWN BUTTON” to turn ON/OFF alarm and snooze function. “MUSIC NOTE” icon will light up on the display to indicate alarm is set. “Zz” will appear on the display to indicate snooze is activated. Snooze can be set from 1 to 60 minutes. • When alarm time reached, alarm will ring for 1-minute, then snooze and ring again. Press “SETTING BUTTON” to turn OFF alarm or touch “UP BUTTON” and “DOWN BUTTON” to activate snooze. NOTE: Snooze defaults to 60-minutes, if loss of power occurs.

@@sipapito Make sure tha when your in the alarm mode that the snooze and music note is not showing. See 6:36 in the time line.
