Someone suggested a monthly bill reminder?? I'm not sure as these would come with no context. So an alarm on a watch must just be for waking up or a daily reminder of a bus or to take a break or something..

Great tutorial! Thanks for showing me how to set the hourly chime, the only thing I didn't figure out. (It's the fifth alarm, which has a little bell that toggles on and off.) Most of us wouldn't use our wristwatch to remind us of anniversaries, birthdays, etc.. But that's what being able to set alarms by date is for. If I were still wearing a Casio DataBank, I might set such a calendar because I could have a little text message show when it went off.

A monthly alarm is a great idea for things you want to do once a month, eg move photos from your phone to a storage device and select some for printing, or invoicing for a work-related context, endless uses.

Just set a reminder on your phone or something. Your watch beeping every 4th Monday at 8pm will not remind you to “invoice for a work related context” and back up your photos. You are winding me up aren’t you?

The particular day alarm can be helpful for anniversaries and the day-each-month alarm can be useful for people who need to take monthly meds, pick up a kid at a certain day and time each month, or anything else that happens on a "lunar cycle."

I’ve said it before I bet you no body does that.Explain to me how that would work? I have to pay a regular bill each month, I know I have to do it, but there’s no way I’m setting an alarm on my watch to remind me cos that alarm going off is not going to come with a note saying “pay the credit card”

@@Tim2pointoh for example, in your country, deadline to file tax is every 10th of the month. So when the alarm goes off on the 10th, it reminds you to accomplish something important. And you'll remember it's the taxes. This is a watch, not a cellphone. It's a trigger to help you recall. Not to spell it all out for you. It's one use case I could think of. For people who don't use smartphone or rely on smartphone.

When you enter the alarm screen you can scroll through the list of alarms with the START button. 1.. 2.. 3.. 4.. 5.. and a sixth page without a number. Instead of a set alarm time, the display says " :00". On this sixth page you can press the ADJUST button to turn the hourly signal on/off. A small bell icon shows up in the lower right corner of the display when the hourly signal is active. The hourly signal should be independent of the regular alarms, so I don't know what you mean by losing the alarm function.
