I was looking for a video like this for months. The ONLY video showing inside the case and the module 3502. Thanks man. I had mine, same Casio AE-1500 dessert color. So happy to catch it for €27 + delivery. Now I’m sure with this big battery it will hold not for 10 but for 20 years. Cheers

The 3502 is an amazingly versatile module, very powerful alarm feature and large ranges. My brother has the same AE-1500WH-5AVEF and it has been serving him well for over a year. I'm tinking about gifting a very close friend an AE-1500WH-1AVEF, modifying the screen to have a personal design the background, by replacing the reflector with a print. This video was a good indication that this is feasible as the module is easy to disassemble, I'll have to look further on whether modifying a Casio LCD screen like that is possible. Funnily enough I have only disassembled a new MIP style display module, in which this would be trivial, but pointless due to the negative display.

Love that its got a cr2032 because that means it'll actually last around 20 years if you don't use the alarm or light.

@@alfiebm there are expensive watches with an acrylic crystal including those watches used by astronauts in the 1960s... Much easier to remove scratches from acrylic than from mineral...

I fully understand you. It is huge. This is the reason I do not wear it all the time. I love the size of the numbers but I don't know how to find another smaller suitable case for it.

Well in this video I use 3 different sets of tools: Screwdriver Set for Fine Mechanics from LIDL-Parkside; A cheap Tweezer Set from Aliexpress and a Special Watchmaker Tool Set from Amazon.

Sorry, I don't know. This budget model of Casio is made of very low quality resin/plastic so you wear it and throw it away. BUT despite that it looks very cool and legible. I love it!

I ike most of this watch - I would have bought it but I really don't like that square dot pattern that keeps coming and going next to the 3 o'clock position. Distracting, and has no real use. I wish that could be disabled. Also I'd prefer to fit a sapphire crystal but I think the acrylic glass is glued in? Thanks for the video

Hi, we are sharing the same opinion... Something more -- they could do the weekday with 3 letters. It would be the perfect low-cost watch but with a sapphire the price will rise. Anyway I still didn't figure out how to reach the crystal without braking the case. It is obviously glued too.

@@smartech108Yes, I was thinking it is probably glued in. I wouldn't mind paying a little more for sapphire glass. I imagine the fitted one would have to be broken to remove, the case cleaned and a very good glue used to replace the glass with one the same diameter. I might have tried if I could switch that annoying 10second dash feature off 🙂

Опции в меню такой нет. Возможно существует какая то комбинация кнопок, для коррекции времени примерно раз в сутки, но и это вряд ли. Генератор 3502 выдаёт достойную постоянством частоту. Проверял в течении 5ти суток с временем на компе с синхронизированным временем, не ушли и не отстали ни на секунду за 5ть суток. Хотя возможно какие то доли секунд и есть но даже незаметно. В течении месяца может на пару секунд уйдут, но разве это критично? Можно и вручную поставить секунду, а с этой коррекцией только напартачишь. Ведь наверняка точность зависит от внешних воздействий, например температура или давление. И в разные дни это будут разные изменяемые условия эксплуатации.

Not sure. CASIO AE1500 has a proprietary strap with a weird dimensions.

It will be hard to find a non-casio strap. It is a proprietary strap on these watches but you could try with a similar for GShock.

The diameter is 35mm. I still wonder how to replace it. That's why I ordered a 33mm protection glass because it is very easy to scratch.

Yes, I definitely will do a video about Installation of the Protection Glass on Casio AE-1500. I ordered smaller glass because there is almost no distance between the resin crystal and the plastic bezel protectors. And I still do not see a way to remove the bezel from the case without breaking it?!? No screws from outside and inside?! Maybe someone could give me a clue?
