Setting the zero stop is important so that you know you're returning to zero each time, while also ensuring you can get the most elevation adjustments from your scope that are possible.

Just bought one the other day and shot it for the first time today, only three 20 round mags on AR10, was almost a perfect zero, went to dial it in a little more and it was dead nuts on, put up a fresh target then began to shoot third mag and then started having extremely high flyers out of nowhere, myself and range officer found that the elevation stopped locking, when you push it down it pops right back up, not sure what's going on, worked fine until 3rd mag on about bullseye then out of nowhere went from shooting the bullseye consistently to shooting 1 foot high consistently , I was hitting bullseye several times then I couldnt see my hits anymore, I then looked up and it was about 1 foot high, i shot again then then it hit high in the exact same spot touching the other bullet at 1 foot high over bullseye, hopefully you guys have some imput, I love EOTECH products, have a shit load of rifles and shotguns with the EOTECH holographic sight, this is my first EOTECH scope, brand new over 1500.00 dollars and shoot 3 mags and it started having issues, frightened the hell out of me now, don't want to return it because I specifically wanted the EOTECH scope but also don't want to be out of over 1500.00 dollars and or have to keep sending a brand new scope that's only 3 magazines old back and forth for repairs, any input would be much appreciated.

Damn that's terrible, hopefully you're able to get it fixed. Was the locking ring fully locked in or was it starting to travel? I just got one myself and just mounted it. Let me know if you found a fix. I would probably reach out to eotech customer service about that. It's certainly a safety issue that warrants assistance especially if it's a manufacturer error.

Hey bud, yea I gave it back to the store, they tested it too and said it was busted, a couple of magazines and failed, they had another EOTECH being they originally had 2 in stock of the same model and asked if I wanted to swap, I didn't want to risk that again so I told them no and got a full refund , about 1500.00 to 1600.00 is what I paid, I end up buying the Vortex Razor over 2000.00 but it was well worth it, built like a tank, put countless rounds through it, the reticle is similar to EOTECH MRAD but a little more advanced, no issues at all and looks beautiful on the gun with the bronze color, wasn't sure how I felt about the bronze color until I put it on the rifle and wow it looks amazing, make the gun and scope stand out way more then a black gun and black scope does, weighs twice as much as the EOTECH scope and you can probably run it over with a truck and also helps recoil, life time warranty with no question asked replacement, they only make the Razors in bronze which is their high end scopes, they do make a black Razor I found later but I think it's about close to 3000.00, it has the exact same features as the Rzor model I have 4.5-27 and built like a tank so the 2000.00 one is just fine, im loving it so far, Vortex is the best about usually on the top of the top 5 scope list after doing research, EOTECH doesn't show up on scope list and if they do its close to the bottom I researched, I was just a huge EOTECH fan so I chose that scope first because of the name but I still love EOTECH for the holographic sights on close range set ups, I will still buy EOTECH just not the scope anymore, will spend extra money and get a scope to last with extremely good reputation.

It sucks too being I really liked but didn't feel like having to send something back to the factory that broke after 3 mags, and who knows if it gets fixed correctly then got to keep sending it back and forth , then the factory gets annoyed and mad at you like its your fault their shit broke out the box, no I'm good lol, I know the customer service would have probably taken care of it but I lost faith in the scope after this happened and done more research and other people had problems with EOTECH scope as well, like I said the holographic sights are perfect, I know I didn't reach out to customer service but I did reach out on EOTECH KZbin page and you know they had to look at it, they responded to others about positive things with the scope, when I asked for help on their KZbin knowing they seen it and never ever got a response im good, only heard crickets, they read the post and was probably like Tommy we have another one busted again after a few rounds lol

@@JAMES..ST..PATRICK wow, well I'm glad you got it worked out! Maybe I should have gone with the Razor. Hopefully mine is built correctly. If it busts on 6.5 Creedmoor I'm going to say no more eotech.
