Modern Kadampa Buddhism is a special, practical presentation of Buddha’s teachings that is particularly suited to the modern day. It was introduced into contemporary society by the world-renowned meditation master and scholar Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
Modern Kadampa Buddhism preserves the meaning and intention of Buddha’s original teachings while presenting them in a clear and systematic way that anyone of any nationality, age or gender can easily understand and put into practice.

Really nice video, i like how you show different sizes. Im "up grading" my at home shrine. Going with a large medicine buddha statue, a large medicine buddha singing bowl with scripture etch on it and a candle on the other side. The statue has a bowl in his left i burn incense or sage in it. But before all this, i had a buddha incense holder and a tea light candle:-)

@@urbanecobeauty Again good to know, and i respect what you believe but keep in mind that there are different faiths that believes in different things. And as for this matter this video is about image veneration of Buddhism, in which has no relationship to what you're saying here, let alone your concern of idol worship. The so called "man made sculptures" enables us to focus on worship, meditation and make mental connection with the figure in reverence. No offense tho. Have a nice day 🕊️ God bless you. @@TharsyanJaderuby I serve the living God. Therefore no mental focus of any kind is needed on man-made objects and idols that are seen through the eyes which can’t speak nor hear nor talk to you. Nor does the man-made object care four your well being. Instead one can look and focus on the living things God created for us all and in real healing. We see Gods glory in all his creations which live. Now to focus on anything that is man-made is for those who do not know nor understand who the true Creator God is and how powerful he is when we go to him directly, instead of all these other man-made ways and world wide created ‘traditions’. Which in world run religions and the same too with the Roman Catholic Church (false man made religions of the world) their followers make idols and pray through things like beads and sculptures, saying that’s how they connect with God. One may ask where are they coming up with this? Because the God of the Bible YHWH who is living and has his “word” written for all to learn from (in every language on earth), says do not do such things as these world religions teach, because it’s partaking in serving through man-made objects which causes one to idolize the object, by focusing their mind and attention to something that once again, does not hear 👂 nor 🗣️ speak to you. Just like the golden calf, people try again and again to create their own idols, and where does it get them? Absolutely no where but to keep searching… and the true God watches this from above shaking his head, because he already warned his people of this very thing long ago. It is written for those who have ears to hear and obey God Almighty instead of going their own ways.

@@urbanecobeauty Dear sister, i don't wish to be rude or disrespect your faith, but you are now sounding like a typical fanatic. Since you follow the Abrahamic ideology, it's quite hard for you or people with similar mindset as yours to understand the significance and uniqueness of image worship and it's purpose particularly eastern religions like Hinduism and Buddhism. If God is indeed omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, and what not, I'm sure God is capable enough to manifest himself in the idols and allows himself to be approached through his devotees. But what to do, you never done any form-worship, veneration of idols, never meditated before a deity, never done deity consecration, no genuine experience and perceptions. So how would you know? Again, not everyone follows your faith sister. Different religions has its own ideas on God or Truth or Ultimate Reality, through different ways, beliefs, practices, traditions and philosophies. Have a nice day 🕊️
