I would love to see you and gene from Audioholics do a video together about this. You both say the opposite.

J, We have proprietary technology in our carbon and foam technology that allows us to achieve performance those without can not. We have built now over 160 rooms and have had those rooms tested for frequency response, attack and decay rates, and noise transmission. With our technology and database, we can have an exponential leap ahead on all sonic benefits whether music or voice.

Need more videos on home theater, and more discussion about the surround channels facing the wall. Sounds interesting.

H, If we step back and think through the rear channels sonic objectives, it is all about ambient, non-localized, sound fields. A quadratic diffuser is just the acoustic tool to satisfy both of those objectives. Diffusion will spread the energy out in whatever sound field we desire and with this diffused sound field comes non-localization.

But how far do you place the surround speaker away from the side wall/diffuser and rear wall/diffuser? Does it depend on the speaker?
@AcousticFields6 жыл бұрын
H, It depends on the radiation pattern of the speaker, distance to the listener, room size/volume and a host of many other variables. There is no one size fits all.

Home Theater Eman enough for diffuser to diffuse. It is quaterwavelenght of lowest freq that diffuser diffuses + 50 % to be safe

Which kind of diffusers I need to put on the ceiling? What am I getting. My theater room is 10by20 space.
@AcousticFields5 жыл бұрын
J, Diffusion sequences are distance dependent. What is your ceiling height?
@jewellcorley16455 жыл бұрын
Acoustic Fields 10 feet

J, You could use the QD -11. Use two dimensional diffusion for your theater ceiling. Build the units in 24" x 24" x 9" modules and install using alternation pattern.
