You forgot the spacer between the 2 barrings its really important for the performance, speed and life of the barrings
@misterdeliveryguy14734 жыл бұрын
Each wheel has to have a spacer for the barings
@misterdeliveryguy14734 жыл бұрын
This allows you to completely tighten the wheels withouth deformities on ither the wheel or the barrings. How on the video he had to loosen up the wheel because it would not spin properly
@wayne00k3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Especially on long boards where higher speeds on long runs are the goal

For drop-throughs and lowriders, does the width of the trucks have to match the width of the deck or can it be larger? Can the wheels stick out farther than the board?
@zPtrck4 жыл бұрын
If you have spacers you can tight it I guess. I think anti-sink bracket is needed on the drop through or maybe not
@ThatACRGuy Жыл бұрын
You are correct spacers are pretty much a must no clue why he didn't add them in the video , and yes anti sink washers or " truck plates " are pretty much needed if you don't wanna pressure crack a drop thru that board how it's currently set up won't last long before it starts to crack

I have a question why does my longboard bend so much that it almost touches the ground and when I turn it does scrape the ground
@Pekins4 жыл бұрын
There are 2 things I can think of: is your board a bamboo board? They flex a lot. If you have a normal maple board, then maybe you are too heavy and you need a thicker board. I weight 270 lbs and I use a 7ply maple board and it flexes very little.
@cyprusmiraque Жыл бұрын
Do you need any specific trucks for longboards?
@YOCAHERSKATEBOARDS Жыл бұрын
Yeah trucks for longboards are more specific compared to skateboards.Our trucks are reversed kingpins, so it they all primarily work with most of our longboards, but we do have various sizes as well. Let us know if you have any specific questions

Not knew to skating knew yo building my own skateboard so what does a spacer/riser do?
@ryannbrown18194 жыл бұрын
Well, risers go underneath your trucks to make them more elevated/taller. Risers really help to prevent wheel bite when using larger wheels. (stops the board from hitting the wheel when turning). If your thinking of putting longboard wheels onto a skateboard or smaller sized board you'll definitely need some type of riser. Not all longboards need risers, but if a board does, the place selling you the longboard will most likely tell you that it needs them / comes with risers. Hope this helps!

This is really late but, I was wondering what type of board will be best for a cruising/small/minor downhill boards, basically a good board to make quick easy turns and that’s good and stable enough for casual downhill
@YOCAHERSKATEBOARDS4 жыл бұрын
We'd recommend a slimkick (light and smaller than typical longboard), or mini cruisers (small and easy to control) . Let us know any more questions

Could the kick tail be used for freestyle riding?
@YOCAHERSKATEBOARDS4 жыл бұрын
Yes, the kicktail can be used for freestyle. Although having the kicktail might have it's advantages and limitations, depending on how you use it.

Do any of you know the best placement for my trucks???
@YOCAHERSKATEBOARDS2 жыл бұрын
Best placement? It should just be where the nuts and bolts are located. Or if you have a unique deck shape, you might have to experiment what works for you

If you don't use any washer, the nut will over the time dig itself into the wood of the board.

The drop through trucks are the same as other normal trucks right ?
@YOCAHERSKATEBOARDS4 жыл бұрын
Yes, they're the same as the normal trucks. They're just installed differently
@ThatACRGuy Жыл бұрын
Good start but a couple of key points 1 bearing spacers 2 drop-thru board washers on the hardware or a " truck plate " that boards not gonna last 6 months before it starts pressure cracking 3 outa of the 23 years of professional downhill ( ex s9 team rider, motion board shop team rider, landyachtz team rider, zealous team rider, baker and creature team rider, and current team rider for jacks board house ) riding iv never heard of a single person refer the kingpin bolt or axel nut as a " lug nut" 4 that an RKPT aka reverse kingpin truck not " our trucks " the skate truck he referred to in the video is a TKPT traditional kingpin truck aka standard kingpin 5 that's called a hanger and baseplate the ball on the end is called a pivot as it go's in the pivot cup. And plz show this dude how to tighten a truck correctly he just mushroomed that cone bushing as a demo instead of showing these kids how to swap out for a harder bushing. if you are going to be legit and show kids how to set a board up plz do it right! Yes, this video got the main goal set up correctly however the way its set up is asking to have a kid get hard from a bearing to blow out on the way to school or stress cracking the deck he just got for his bday, Xmas or saved up his/her chore money for only to have it break from cracking or get hurt from a bearing popping then have that same kid trash talk and get made about the sport that's how this sport dyes VS getting kids into skateboarding correctly. Iv ridden with, trained, and mentored thousands of kids, and set up hundreds of events over the years to get kids into this sport. ( pro tip file the bearing seat you won't have the bearing lock up and stay stuck to the axle as you did in the video trying to get the wheel on lol) Feel free to watch the video we did on how to set up a drop thru deck on originalhowtoo channel it's a bit old being that was 11 years ago hahah here's a link kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIGbaXp9o5eAg8U On the upside props on the video, it is a very clean set up and the angles are good!! Mad props there not many can actually do that so great job there. Lighting is great and the shots are clear! Lastly take my advice, try again, and you have a clean proper how-too video for these kids yes I know your a small company selling cruisers but still.... Good luck and look forward to skating with yall sooner or later or at an event !
