You will need to purchase a heavier lure. They are meausred either in oz or grams and ypu should see a lire weight category in your rods specifications that gives you a range of what lures to use

Make sure you have line on before the tackle otherwise it wont let you. Are you using a match or telescoping rod?

@@wildcatmike7252 i wouldnt recommend fishing for the catfish in FL. just not worththe time and effort IMO. now in LA id recommend a rod and reel that are at a minimum 18lbs but 20-25 would be a lot better. You should be able to obtainan 18lb setup at level 24 if i remember correctly. Let me look into some names of equipment and ill get back to you!

I want a detail on reel, I seen some reel have higher recovery distance what does it translate in this game? because the reel are priced more than the one with low recovery distance I still don't understand about this.

Recovery distance basically means that for every turn of the reel handle, a certain amount of line gets pulled in. In a reel with higher recovery distance it will pull more line in with every turn of the reel than one with lower recovery distance
