Found this game a few days ago for my elderly dad who used to enjoy fishing but now cannot go do so anymore due to health, but we were confused about how to get started with rod set ups. I'll be doing most of the grinding and getting things set up so he can just enjoy catching fish. This video was very helpful! Thank you.

I've been playing fishing planet 3 days! This video is great. My biggest challenge was with REELS stuck in reverse. Easily fixed by spinning the mouse wheel forward. Second after purchasing a rod case, and, rod stand, finally learning how to use rod stands, to fish with multiple rods. Number 1-8 for bring up the rod, 9 for the stand and ZERO to empty the hands. Fishing Planet is a lot of fun! Thanks for making the video. Andrew = acesjet on fishing planet

This game is so complicated for my brain. I would love to see a guide how to know in what DEEP to fish and also what HOOK to use. Thanks
@BoAngles3 жыл бұрын
Hook sizes, a lot of it is just testing. Use a small hook first, and if you continuously catch smaller fish, move up a size- then another, til you catch the biggest size of fish the lake has to offer (sizes can be seen under the lake when you look at the species available)
@BoAngles3 жыл бұрын
Depth is worth testing too- usually it doesn’t matter too much til the water gets VERY deep

@@BoAngles Thanks, I'm also confused about these numbers #1/0 and #1, #8 which one is the smallest one and what's the differencence between those two?
@BoAngles3 жыл бұрын
@@Nerino Right, I think I talk about it in this video. Basically think of a number line -10 to 0 and then to positive 10. #10 is -10, the smallest hook in this example. The hooks get larger as they move towards #1 and then from #1 they go to #1/0. This is basically -1 hopping to positive 1. From there, hooks continue to get larger from #1/0 to #10/0. So, #10 small - #10/0 big.

Caution. Select rod strength and line strength close to the same value and then pick a reel with a max drag that is lower! Don't use reels with drag higher than the rod and line strengths as shown in this video. You will break a rod or line doing that. Very important. If the max reel drag is greater than the line or rod, you have to be very careful to keep away from ever using the max drag setting on the reel or you will blow up and lose your expensive lure or break your rod before you know what happened when you hook a big fish.
