This video will cover the basics on attaching your patient to an anaesthetic machine including:
- Attaching a breathing circuit
- Attaching a respiratory monitor
- Attaching a Pulse Oximetry Monitor
- Attaching ECG leads
- Attaching a blood pressure cuff
- Why you should use intra-operative fluid therapy
- Thermometer probe
Correct ECG cable placement electrodes should be placed:
* Red = right forelimb
* Yellow = left forelimb
* Green = left hindlimb
* Black lead = right hindlimb
* White/brown/other lead = thorax
To minimise interruption, have all the cables running in the same direction away from the surgery site. Conductive gel should be applied to the patient to improve contact.
