Not too long ago, I got an order to make two wedding cakes and I thought, wait.
Are they for the White and Traditional Weddings?
And the answer was "No."
Oh my word!

Good day Ma, pls how do I go about this, a client want a 6 tie wedding cake, the 1st 3 down cake should be dummy while the last 3 cake up is real cake, pls how will i go about it so that the cake will not affect the dummy down?

The Cakes will not affect the dummy, just cover and treat all like real cakes. Or how do you mean when you say affect so I can answer specifically?

Hello Pamela, it's not metal, it's a plastic pvc pipe. You can get the pvc pipe from a hardware store and the dowel rods from Cake stores.

Hi, thank you! Okay, all you need do is to cut the board according to the size of the tier that will be placed on the cake and make a hole in the centre for the dowel to pass through. This is what will be adhered to and placed on the tier below before you place a Cake on it.

I used a skewer and tape, then just attached it to the Cake.

It's called a water pvc pipe and it serves as a central dowel for your cakes, you are to wash and sterilise in and out with warm water before use. I also seal the entire body and both ends with cling film.
