Thanks so much. The instructions booklet that came with the stick needs rework for sure. After all, if a person needs instructions, they need more detail than words like “After pairing your remote” …. Your video clued me in that I was getting the wrong screen (a screen in various languages saying looking for remote) and helped me realize I needed to somehow get to that’s language selection screen you showed! I resorted to taking a photo of the English screen as it flashed by me, and read that pressing the Remote for 10 seconds might save the day! Doing that also helped me realize my remote wasn’t even working, for whatever reason. I put in my own batteries and saw for the first time a flashing light on my remote! These are things a non-tech should be alerted to in the booklet! Thanks again.

Question: I bought a new Firestick about 3 months ago. Here’s the dilemma, when watching any streaming service, the movie will start to skip, just the audio portion. Before I pull the trigger on 500 Mbps thinking this will solve the problem, is there something else? Maybe the stick itself is the issue. My next move is to try connecting ethernet.

Great video.... just a little note - I believe the Firestick current consumption can exceed 500mA and therefore not advisable to use the USB on the TV for the supply... the Power Adaptor that comes with the Firestick is rated at 1Amp.

Been trying for over an hour to uninstall your ESPN and it won't leave. I thought it would be an unlocked ESPN but it's the same as the regular app and needs log in info. I've been trying to remove it and see if something else works but this app won't leave.
