Please don't hesitate to ask questions if you want some clarifications and ideas, I'm happy to help you out guys.
First, make sure you have inspect your power plug type.
Our unit uses UK plug so we have to use an adapter.
When you plug it in, you will notice a flash of light, don't worry
its normal, it will just start to self-test for at least 5 seconds.
After the self-test, it will automatically return to default settings
in my case, it was set to AUTO Mode 3 (Au03) on LED display.
The unit settings for AUTO play consists of 4 modes of
pattern effects which are Au01, Au02, Au03, Au04
We are showing you some preset pattern effects that the unit has
It can provide at least 51 types of output effects.
Please be reminded that when you set each mode,
don't forget to press ENTER button to save your settings
By pressing the MENU button, the settings brings you to
the next Mode, in our case it's a Sound Sensitive Mode
that has also 4 modes pattern effects as the AUTO play mode
Sound Sensitive mode consists 4 modes of pattern effects
the display show So01,So02, So03 & So04 all the same as
the AUTO play mode, but it will play when it sense sound beats.
By pressing the MENU button again, the settings brings you to
Sound Sensitivity Adjustment mode, that consists of
SE01 the lowest to SE09 the highest sound sensitivity setting.
Next, press the MENU button to bring you to Color mode settings,
it consists of the following modes:
CL01 - White (single color), CL02 - RGY, CL03 - RGB (7 colors)
We have the last MENU settings which is the DMX512 mode,
it has maximum of 10 signal channels.
You can set the following DMX512 address code from A001 to A512

Hi if your unit mirrors are attached to adjustable mount you can adjust its alignment, in my case i cant do those method as the manufacturer already fixed the mount and unfortunately the mount they use on this unit is plastic or pvc. Hopefully the idea helps you on this issue.

actually from a dmx controller there's a slider that you can choose which pattern you want then add to your scene button, on my end i use one pattern per scene, i just added movement and color which you can also find it in one of your slider, each slider on page 1 have movement control, so if you want it make it still you do that then set it and add to your scene button.

Awesome guide. I have a question, is there a risk of overheating the unit if I leave it functioning for 4 hours?

you just need a well ventilated area or air conditioned area if you want to leave it working for 4 hours or so, but i dont suggest it if you just have room temperature.

Do you know if its possible to set up just one collor for all presets with dmx? Like green for each pattern

Yes its possible you can still remain the master RGB setting from the laser unit, You only need to set main color you desire from DMX color control lets say my color control configured on my DMX controller was on page 2 slider 1, I can set it to one or more colors. You set it once for all preset effects and the custom ones.

Also i am new to dmx units and just started mesing with them last year. Also do you have any experience with fog machines? I can decide should i get fogger 1000 or fogger 1500. The difference is only 450 thb (20usd)

no worries my friend i love to hear that i helped you out, actually im also new in dmx since im using Pangolin Quickshow on my other laser. You can buy Green units through Ebay. On fog machine i prefer 1500 with a good misty effects

when using two lasers, is it possible to invert the x axis of one of them in the settings or using a dmx controller, to have them move symetrically instead of going the same way ?

For this type of laser unit that i have presented on this video its not possible, because there's no inverts settings through out the unit unless you have a proper knowledge in electronics that you can modify the driver of the stepper motors. While for those professional laser units, most of it there is a physical invert switch for the specific axis if you are just using DMX.

as for that your unit doesnt have any IR remote its a direct unplug, or maybe use a power strip to turn it off properly, there's no direct switch on this unit.

I'm running it on Freestyler and I've created its fixture; However I can't change colors within de dmx mode. I only can change it pressing the physical buttons as you show in the video (CL01, CL02, CL03). Is this normal or is it a problem with my cable dmx-usb? I'm new here! My configuration within Fixture Creator: 1stcolorchannel 9. number of colors 7. Enabled CMY/RGB and RGB Segments are unchecked!

No problem, sure. first of all, set your unit the max color setting, i think its the CL03 that has 3 color output on square test pattern, then on my end i use DMX physical slider to change color and i think theres a slider that changes the color randomly, it will depend what you use to control your dmx but what i tell you is really basic.

@@LasershowLab Hi again! Tried it and it didn't work. I set it to CL03 (square with all three colors) and then when I connect it to my dmx I see all three colors at the same time. The 9th channel (color selection) seems to do nothing. Thank you anyways!

Hi its not really programmable in regards of syncing music beats, it only works via sound impact detection through sound built in sensor, thats the only way to sense the beat, and it will depend on the sound sensitivity adjustment preset available on the digital menu.

Thanks. This was really helpful. Do you know if this is particularly dangerous to be using in an enclosed space if it shines in someone's eyes? Obviously staring directly into the thing, or putting your eyes right in front of it, is a bad idea. But if someone is, say, 3 or 4 ft away from it, but facing it, would it be dangerous? Thanks!

For me im doing almost over head projection at least 7 ft above, because any laser when shines to anyones eyes is really dangerous we never know damage it would happen to anyone blinded by the reflection or a direct beam. I never do shows that will hit anybodys eyes or someone who wants to hit their own eyes intentionally. Always do overhead projection to make it safe.

Yes, absolutely it would be harmful. This power of a laser is always a concern for people's eyes. Even fairly low power ones can momentarily blind people, in the same way as a camera flash. But higher power ones do cause permanent loss of vision where it hits the retina. And if a person looks directly at the laser, that spot will be focused on the most important part of the retina. Even worse, they may not detect it at first. But when they look at a spreadsheet, the little dash in the middle of an 8 will cause it to look like a 0. Decimal places will also disappear. The brain normally works to erase any empty spots in your vision because you already have a blind spot where the nerves from the retina collect.... but it is not at your fovia... the part that you need to be able to read. You must file a variance with the government to be able to use this in the U.S. It certifies that you have set it up according to their rules, so that you don't harm people's vision.

Remote is just for secondary or preset effects selector usual 4 auto presets, but if you are serious to control all those effect and pre customized colors and other effects, use DMX controller instead,

what is that 2 modes you got there? may i ask.

usually when you press menu there at least 3 settings Auto, DMX, Sound Activation > Select Auto you should have 4 modes for that which are Au01, Au02, Au03 and Au04. Sound activation has also 4 modes So01, So02, So03 and So04 thats already default. Check your unit model carefully it might have the same casing or looks but different inside or different board. There's no activation needed for that type of unit, whats in there is already a preset default effects. Let me know more on your end please.

Then when it comes to animation for this type of unit, it is already preprogrammed, means its already preset in the system, i think some other methods can be use here just to modify its preset contents, IDK dude. I'm just wandering still how this basic unit is programmed..

@@LasershowLabno, you don’t need a dmx controller to sync them. there is this thing called master and slave and you connect one laser with a dmx cable OUT then the other end IN the other laser, then you set the OUT laser on master in the menu and the IN into slave on the menu as well.

if your laser is powerful enough a dust or mist is ok. But this one is only 500mw in white light, individual colors is like about 100mw to 250mw so its still weak in the air dust itself

As you can see the unit has its own default pattern, but if you use dmx512 controller or other dmx controller you manage to change how the pattern is projected like the color, points speed, rotation, position and motion its controlled live, it depende on your device if its programmable as long as the base effects will be outsourced on the default effects preprogramed on that laser unit.

the unit has no power switch i suggest that you use powerstrip switch, or modify the cord with a ON and OFF switch, but if your unit has an IR and remote control it can turn off via Remote.

the line effect can also be controlled via DMX512 slider just try test all the sliders where you can get first the line effect via slider as selector then choose color from other slider then figure out the slider that uses positioning there are 2 sliders there: one is up & down motion and other is left & right motion , center the slider to make it static or steady

the laser device is a direct DMX wired controller input, if you have converter that does the same respond from a conventional DMX controller it will work
