How to set up Bacnet Communication on an ABB ACH 580 VFD with Eclipse Bypass

Direct communication between a ABB ACH 580 VFD and your building automation system can be achieved using BACnet communication protocol. You must first configure your ABB VFD to allow communication on your network.
The first step is to select the correct communication protocol within the drive as well as give it a unique network address and instance number. If you are using an ABB VFD with an Eclipse Bypass, the configuration will be done on the bypass itself, not the VFD.

I’m having trouble adding a FAC4911 to a SNE as a Bacnet device. There is no Com bus currently in building the Fac is going in so we are installing the FAC on network so it can be added to SNE as a bacnet device on same network. The FAC is never being discovered in auto discovery. What do I need to check

I would check the mstp cable and also check the network settings for the device. If all is good you may want to try connecting a different controller. I assume you are connecting it with the FC trunk

Need help with Metasys analog inputs and outputs our Nae and 4520 - 2 our expansion cards are from model LN - PRG4C LN - PRG8C and the LN - PRG88C plate I have a level 4 to 20 mA key but I can't properly configure the port. da error Set284 Data Convert Error. the network is LonWork please help me.

Do you have an issue with abb drives taking down your entire communication trunk when it faults?

No. Make sure you only connect the + and - for the communication. Don't connect the reference. Also make sure you don't have other network issues.

@@Systemcontroltech I don't have any other issues, it an abb 550, I noticed that when the drive was in fault I had 3vdc on the terminals, I removed the trunk wires first, and of course the trunk came back up

As far as the reference I think I remember on one of the other FEC's that it may have been wired up...will check that
