Wow that was very smart. I live in Sweden . Here in scandinavia we use different equipment and we get the job done. I am a bricklayer myself but i was wondering how to use vertical string lines with a weight and such. There are so many ways to do it. That dory pole riser was so cool. Way better than raising it manually and eventually break the string. Maybe you could show more videos like this.

It’s the little things like this that add to the overall end job, you assume being in the trade that most people know these “simple” things and you don’t want to come across as patronising by telling people about them but they do help. 👍

Hi Stu, just came across this video and have a set of these and was wondering how to use them, I'm building a pond and put the block work on a few jobsites about a month ago with no interest at all, I don't know if it was the 140mm hollow concrete blocks that put them off or because I already have all materials, so going to bite the bullet and have a go myself, this was my original plan hence having all the materials, it was only when I felt the weight of the blocks it put me off as I have back issues, but I will just take my time and I'm sick of looking at a hole in the ground which I started digging by hand (couldn't get digger on property) over a yr ago most of that time spent digging a bit at a time, I've watched your videos for a while but any pointers would be appreciated. Rob.
