Can you share tips for social media live sound baths? Also, where are your bowls from? I’m learning and love it so far.

You can plug a Blue Yeti or Blue Snowball mic into your phone with an adapter (USB to USB-c or iphone plug) if you need better sound quality. I find that iPhones actually record the sound really well (just might sound bath when you're listening if your speakers are blown out at all). For your live sound bath, have a tripod set up with your phone ~2-3ft away from your bowls and it should be good. You can do a test by just recording it as a video on your phone and listen back with headphones. Suggest that listeners use headphones or a speaker to listen as well for better sound quality!! I have various bowls, chimes, etc, but would the sound to be louder so the people in the back of the room can hear and feel the reverberations. Yeah it's called "original sound for musicians" and then when you start the Zoom YOU HAVE TO SWITCH IT ON. Can you tell me if your voice can get picked up along with the sound bowls on this microphone? I would like to incorporate 7 bowls, along with my voice for a guided meditation, and singing. I just ordered the Blue Yeti (Blackout) anticipating that this will work with my online sound baths. Any advice would be helpful.

Yes!!! It will pick up both your voice + bowls no problem. I normally guide a meditation 1st before I start playing and everyone can hear great. DO A TEST RUN and do a zoom call by yourself + hit record and rewatch it to make sure it sounds good to you. This new video was really simple and helpful but there was no option to be able to leave a comment there. Would this setup with the blue yeti microphone work if there is also live singing alongside instruments? I am concerned that the instruments will overpower the voice. Is there a way to make sure that any instruments and the voice are heard equally with just one microphone? Many thanks ☺

Hey there! Thank you for letting me know!!! I must have some weird setting on...I'll go in and change that. Adding the voice + instruments is beautiful! I think the set up should work still for it (I recommend "recording a meeting" and doing a practice round to double check how it sounds first). BUT you can also put the mic on the single O mode (instead of the double circle or heart mode lol) and then put the mic 1/2 between you and the bowls so it's getting the sound from all directions. Does that make sense? I can maybe draw a photo and send it to you haha

Hey there - believe no....but I also think it should be simpler and easier on the iPhone so the sound shouldn't cut out. I recommend recording a test zoom and listening back to it after to see how it sounds. If you're not hosting/teaching live, you can also just use your regular camera/video on the iphone with the mic and that works great too!!! the blue yeti (and most mics) plug-in via USB. I use a "USB to USB-C" converter on my MacBook or a "USB to apple lightening" for my iPad or iPhone. You can find a converter for almost all types of plugs!!! Like these..a.co/d/iajO5CL or a.co/d/i4EBZzL

@@lovepeaceunity1010 Oh that is sooo strange!!! Even with the Yeti? Mmmm.... I would check the Pattern Setting - maybe try the "single circle" instead of the "double circle" setting? Try recording with your mic in a regular video or audio recording (on your phone or on a Mac with photobooth or voice memo) and see if it comes out OK...If yes, then it's Zoom messing you up. If no, then it's the mic!

@@lovepeaceunity1010 it shouldn't matter if they are listening on phone or computer - I do recommend headphones either way because most people's speakers are "blown out" or produce low quality sound. I do normally directly connect to router via ethernet because Zoom can cut out if you have poor wifi. Let me know how that goes!!
