Having a low budget doesn't mean you can't have a bountiful garden!
Learn how I set up a cheap and easy garden bed system in my backyard using under-the-bed storage bins from IKEA. This has to be my favorite IKEA hack of all time!
After giving this neglected lawn a makeover, I was determined to turn it into a garden. I wanted to plant in the ground, but that would have required renting a tiller, tilling the soil, applying new topsoil, and then planting from seeds. The ground is made of clay so it would have been quite an undertaking. I didn't have the time or resources to do that this year so I needed an interim solution.
I remembered the IKEA under bed storage containers I had in university and that was my light bulb moment. I ordered 5 bins to my local Penguin Pickup and I was on my way! See how I created this flourishing garden bed style container garden using IKEA storage containers.
