Why are you using both CookieYes WP plugin and CookieYes GTM template?

Hey, the CookiesYes GTM template is needed to establish the connection between your CookiesYes plugin and your Google tools.

if i am correct the only thing you do is enable advanced mode in cookieyes? how about adding tags with custom html and other things. How will it work with google ads and GA4? or was that not the purpose of the video.

Here, I fully configure Consent Mode in advanced mode, not just enable it. Tags with custom HTML are considered TRACKING, which I don't cover in this video. If you’d like, I can make another video to show how to fully configure conversion tracking with GTM for Lead Gen and E-commerce. 😊

Hi Darius. Thank you for the video. One thing i don't understand. Why did you enable the advance mode since tag will fire before user give their consent. Does that make you GDPR compliant?

Hi @pixelgap and thank you very much for your comment. Indeed, the tag fires before consent, but without consent, the data remains private. Private data means you can see the conversions but can't link the data to users for retargeting based on their activities on your website. This aligns with Europe's regulations, making it 100% GDPR compliant.

@@pixelgap advanced mode is GDPR compliant. Europe wants data to be private . When you fire the tags , conversions are tracked but not WHO fired the tags

As confirmed with cookie yes support we should either need a plugin or GTM template.. but you use both.. Also I’m using the plugin with advance mode but there is a traffic drop in my google analytics.. Any solution?

Good point, you are right about the plugin or GTM template. But the JS doesn't do conflict from my websites. For your traffic drop, if you use wordpress, just get a plugin such as Statistiques. And if you notice a drop between Analytics and Statistiques, then something's wrong with your consent mode and I would recommend to try another CMP
