Step 1:turn device on manually Step 2:hold search code till light is on Step 3:choose the option you want to program example for tv hit the TV button Step 4:point remote at tv and hold or press power button Step 5: press enter Note:this should work for an rca remote there is a model I have and it looks pretty much identical to this magnavox universal remote and i even tested it on my parents smart tv very easy same steps just a different brand remote but same steps to set it up also hit enter as soon as the tv turns off. gram was gonna throw this out so thought it might be a good idea to try to program an older flat screen tv my brother and his gf have great video straight to the point love it💯💯

Depends on the tv this remote has many different codes for some tvs so an actual combination of codes may be necessary. By alternating between the tv and dvd functions at the top I could both navigate a dvd menu then press ok all using the channel buttons. Different TVs do different things but use the code guides that are often published online.

Hi For you just need to try different code since most brands have more than one code in the code list. Some codes only function a few keys. Hope this helps you.
