Life Saver this was!! We had NOT added the Payment Plan to the Subscriptions despite having Credit Cards on file and they were going past due!! But there should be a Notice To Pay options on past due payments which is MISSING from the User Interface!

No, they dont. You need to get the customer to give you another CC. I am dealing with this issue now because the customer's CC didnt work due to no funds. Stripe doesnt tell you this.

What I don't understand it why can't we create a product with a payment link for 12 cycles WITHOUT linking it to a customer? Then we can advertise it and when someone signs up it automatically does 12 cycles. I don't have a customer yet but I want to have 12 cycles only added to a product - otherwise, I have to manually update everything with every single customer. What if you have 30 customers signing up to your 12 month product? How do you navigate this?

Thanks, however I cannot find any video online that answers to my actual question: how to set up a recurring subscription that my customer can NOT cancel by himself. I am planning on adding a buy-button to my sales page - however the commitment must be to the full period (10 months). Is that not an option at stripe? Hi Stewart, when a new customer manually pays for a 12-month subscription plan using the invoice link, does STRIPE then automatically save his credit card info placing it on file so that for the remaining 11 months his card is automatically billed? @@StewartGauld thank you it told me that i should not try to change the default price with a selection in creating a new price so could not find the option to "set as default price" so I archived the old price anyway and it archived it as the default price. I created the new price but it did not say default price and it did not set it to default by default so I don't know what is going on. I unarchived the old price and rearchived it and it unset this price as default. I created the new price. After rearchiving the old price a second time, it took off the default. The new price is not set as default and their is no setting called "set as default" when creating the price. Did they move this setting somewhere else? What is going on?

When I send the client the invoice and they make payment, will that then automatically charge their credit card every month? Or will they need to manually pay the invoice again every month? Hi Stewart, what if the client wants to pause the subscription, can they do it themselves and it will automatically update in our dashboard? For example, I provide a monthly service whose invoice is issued every 30 days. If suddenly they only want to use the service for 10 days, they can pause it, then there are 20 days remaining which can be claimed at any time and is valid for up to 1 year. After 1 year it will expire.

@@StewartGauld Hi Stewart, yes, I would like to increase the pricing say in 6 months to a year's time. Once that happens, new subscribers will be charged the new pricing but I would like the existing subscribers to continue be charged at the old pricing as long as they stay subscribed.

@@Stratijev Hi Darko, just passing on the info. I have consulted Stripe support. Basically, we just need to create a new product with the same details but with increased pricing. Then we create the payment link and update it on our website. The old product is still active collecting the subscription from the existing subscribers who sign up for it. Hope this helps!

I have the same question, there's no option to just put the billing cycle at the start of creating the product. So clients will be billed every month, non-stop. Unless you manually do the schedule subscription.

I sell digital products and I am wanting to do a monthly membership store, when a customer purchases it, they get access to download any product in the store at no additional charge for each month that they are a member, including any products that are continuously added.
