I like to rotate the highback not so much for the healside response but for the increased lateral flex, specifically the front foot which has a tad more angle. Getting it out of the way helps to tweak shit like a frontside grab while boning out my front leg. If im doing a lot of method or japan air backflips, not rotating my highbacks gives me more support if i get a little in the backseat upon landing.

What size would you recommend for a men’s 9.5 boot? I ordered the M/L and it seems a bit tight but workable

M/L unless you have some ultra low profile boot.

@@AngrySnowboarder Cool thanks for the feedback. I had to extend out the heal cup all the way to center over the pad. 9.5 Leather Burton Ion. Also near max on the to strap latch. But I think it’s good! Appreciate all the support. Threw them on a 2024 Nitro Beast to dampen out the ride a bit..

5:00 please for the love of snow elaborate on why you think aligning highbacks with the edge is pointless. I need to know if we have the same reasons!! for me its because knees bend forward and straighten back, they would have to bend sideways for the alighned highback to provide leverage for the edge. What is your reasoning?

IMO you need to be running angles getting on for 30 degrees / double posi before you need the lateral power (rotation isn't the only aspect, but can help). I wouldn't be running an asym wrap for that....

my personal tip is if you need to adjust them on the fly at the mountain, be sure to scrape off any ice and snow from under the foot pad or else it will not snap in securely. Buy Astros asym they are good bindings

These bindings are garbage. They get stuck when I’m trying to open them, especially the last prong on both sides. So annoying ! Like wtf

Have often the same issue with the full wrap gimbal gods - never had the issue with the new forces or even malavitas back then. This one’s remind me a bit of the old ride ratchets…

I have ridden straps form 1977 and I think step on’s work fine and I have no problem riding straps on they work fine?
