You need to state what the SIP Server is. Not your actual value, but what that value applies to, where do I get it. My guess was that it is the IP address of the PBX as seen from this subnet but I'm just guessing.

Simply a ring group from the phone system. There is also a way to make them both the same extension and have them act as one, though I haven't ever needed to do that.

@@n2vSolutionsLLCWinona I am at this time attempting to create a ring group and it's just not working... the most i have achieved so far is a follow me feature, where one hand set rings and after it rings the next handset... it doesn't matter how much you tweak it, it seems this feature either doesn't work at all or requires some tweaks that are not self evident... but just basic selections don't make it.

that was great thanks i have a problem with the handsets connected to the DECT when i register the handset into the DECT it starts a rebooting loop it would be very much of help if anyone has any idea why is this happening i unregistered the phone and factory reset it but nothing changed !! thanks again

How do i create a extension for each phone like you did in the vidoe, do i need a pbx system, because you don't mention any thing about a pbx system in the video? We only have one SIP account, the VOIP service provider now wants to assign each phone with its own SIP account so we can transfer calls in the offices. this just doesn't sound right. Please help.

You are correct, this requires a phone system to work. That can be through your voip provider or an on-site PBX. Either way should reap the same result. We do offer paid support if you need more detailed assistance.

please I have four 750 and five Dp 720 and all are concteting on the four 750, the problem I have is, when I get out of the range of one 750 and enter the other, the phone is not automatically connected to the nearest 750 and this is a problem compared to other companies alcatel avaya ....

The DP760 is the only way to mitigate that, calls won't jump from 750 to 750, but will from 750 to 760

I have 2 SIP accounts setup on my HS. I see where you can change the default accout it will dail from. But what if I want to dial out of the 2nd SIP account just occasionally? Is there a way to specify which account I want to dial from as I'm dialing?

That is an excellent question and I don't have a quick answer or any units handy to test. My best guess is you'd select the extension before you started dialing. helpdesk.grandstream.com would be the place to ask specific questions like that.

Does this allow both handsets to share the same SIP account on the DECT so that when it is called both handsets ring simultaneously? Looks like the UI would allow for it but just want to make sure.

IDK how much time will it take to get reply but, right now I am configuring these handsets and problem is, I can call from hand set to handset and I can also call from table set to handset. What i want is? When I Call from Extension 5000 to 5001, other three phones should ring at the same time, as I have 2 table phones GXP 1628 and 2 Handsets GXP720

I'm assuming you are also using a Grandstream phone system. I would configure on the phone system. But the concept is the same with other systems. Create a ring group that ends at the users voicemail and then call forward the desired extension to the ring group via the phone system. Direct dialed calls will ring the set of phones while group calls will just ring the 1 phone.

Hai.. Any one help. The same handset have time problem for me. Each time i set the time its will change 4hr back. If i set 10pm after some time it atomatically changing to 6pm. How i manage this issue. Thanks

If you are only using analog trunks, what SIP server would you use to register the 720 Dect IP Phones? We have a UCM 6204 connected to the internet with a wan and lan and all of our GXP1625 and GXP1630 IP Phones register and work.

the sip server would be the IP of the UCM, same as the 16xx series phones.

@@rusriverman The UCM could potentially show you a different address for the WAN and the LAN port depending on your configuration. The SIP server is typically the address given to the LAN side. If you are using the UCM as a router, then yes that would be the same as the gateway. If it is not the router, it would not be the same as the gateway.

Hi, I am confused. Would this product be appropriate given that I have a couple of landlines (office line and fax line) through Charter? It appears that this product is set up for internet phone services such as Vonage? Need for callers to have the option to choose persons/departments and be routed to them while also being able to leave voicemails to the designated person in the office. Please clarify. This is a VoIP phone and requires a VoIP service or a Phone system(PBX) to connect it with. It will not function through an analog line without a gateway to convert the signal. We do offer a service that would allow this to work for you with just internet access if you'd like.

That depends on the network you connect it to. Sync a phone to it and then look for it on the synced phone.

It grabs a DHCP IP address. If you have access to DHCP you can sort by the renewal time after you plug it in. Mine did not have a Host name in DHCP, it was blank

Yes you can. However each base station only supports 5 units. So if you have 15 phones in the same area you'd need 3 base stations.

This is just a phone, however could connect directly to a sip provider if needed. Should go through a IPPBX in my opinion.

C'est bien gentil, mais vous leur avez dit que la base DECT DP 750 émet entre 200mW et 500mW en continu hors communication ? Déjà en Europe, la limite légale du DECT de 250mW est explosée ! Mais surtout : on ne comprend pas POURQUOI la base émet en continu alors qu'il n'y a pas de communication - là ça nous ramène aux stations DECT 20 ans en arrière qui émettaient du 2W en continu sans communication ! En traduction littérale : ne restez pas exposés en permanence à moins de 8m de la base si vous tenez à votre santé !

i came to find the best way to register this particular model is to throw it away. It never registers like it is seen in this video. That is why most ip service providers stopped supporting them Grandstream dect is total garbage. don't waste your time. If you came here to try to pair your handset to the base set, don't bother. they never pair. Send the device back to grandstream and get another brand.

Here are the steps how you can pair DP750 with a DP720: Just reboot the DP750, after it boot up, it will open the subscription window for 2 minutes, during this time, you can go to the DP720 -> Registration -> Register -> Base 1 -> Subscribe, the handset will search for the DP750 signal, once found, you can pair them.

@@legpad5857 Another option is if you don't want to reboot the DP750, login the website, you will see 3 icons and the firmware versions at the status bar, these 3 icons from left to right are: refresh, enable subscription (looks like an antenna tower), calling status. If you click that enable subscription icon, it will also open the subscription window for 2 minutes, and you can use DP720 search for the base then.
