Here's a link to SiteGround's web hosting: smallbusinesstoolbox.uk/links/siteground TIP: Make use of SiteGround's offer for a discount on your first order - I personally recommend going for 2 or 3 years since the prices go up after that. Absolutely bargain for the level of service received. I'm an affiliate but it doesn't cost you any extra and it helps me make more vids to hopefully help you out. Thank you! 👍

Wow! You weren't lying. That was a lot of information. But you communicated it clearly. And the round up at the end was a nice way to tie it all together.

Wow thank you so much for this video & the series!! I'm setting up my first ever website and there are some steps that I couldn't quite get and this video made it so clear and easy to follow! Panic over!

Hello! I already built a website, but I really like the stuff you are saying, it is just more explainable. Will follow the series

Hi mate, awesome video. One thing I'm not sure about is what the 3 email addresses were for. Is one of them where you have a contact us form on your new website?
@SmallBusinessToolbox4 жыл бұрын
Hi - yes. I generally have contact@ and then two for WordPress - a user one that gets assigned to all your posts and an admin one that isn't made public at all. 👍

@@SmallBusinessToolbox I was wondering the same thing as the OP. Will we see the second and third email addresses used in one of the next videos in this series? Thanks.

Brilliant series Andy, have used it to get myself a website site up while I’m furloughed. I seem to recall at some point in the process selecting an option to request search engines not to index the site. Does this need turning off once the site is complete? Apologies if I missed this step in the setup!

Hi Darren - great stuff! Yes, once the site is vaguely presentable (doesn't need to be perfect) you can allow search engines to index it. 👍

Thank you so much, I've watch all videos a few times and have decided to build my website. Do you possibly have an upto date discount code for siteground 🙂

Hi Andy, what password generator do you use?

Having used Cpanel for literally ever, I can't see why they would change it. But for a new user, I think Cpanel would be quite daunting. One of the hosting providers I use recently switched to the 'new' Cpanel Paper lantern theme (from 5 years ago!) and I'm lost! As for the email, I only use Gsuite, it's an extra £5 a month, but it's well worth it imo. If it's just a single user, you can set up unlimited aliases so all your different emails lead into one inbox which is so much easier. For my personal email I prefer Outlook, but for business I think Gmail has the better UI

Yeah, I was on another host a while back and they switched from cPanel to a custom thing - it didn't go well. Time will tell - the SiteGround one seems nice and fast - hopefully we're not missing any features. 😀

What if I live in the United States? Should I look for webhosting in the States?
@SmallBusinessToolbox5 жыл бұрын
I think SiteGround have servers in the States. I would always put your hosting as close as possible to where your core audience is. 👍
