A couple of years ago, I was on a city break with my wife and we'd only been in Newcastle for a couple of hours, we'd had "lunch" and were walking down to the quayside when my wife pointed out a guitar shop (I had somehow totally missed it). I went in looking to try out a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster. Dagan showed me the selection they had and I mentioned that I'd always loved the look of a black Fender with a Maple neck.We both agreed that it was a good look and it was a shame there were none in the the shop. Then my wife pointed to one that was hanging up on a stand immediately behind Dagan (We had both somehow totally missed it). Half an hour later, I had purchased my first Fender Telecaster (Modern Player) as an early 50th birthday present. I've now done close to 100 gigs with it and every time I pick it up it brings back fond memories of a great visit.

I keep my wah/volume/expression pedals off the board and just put them on the floor. The reason is that my pedalboard is angled, and I think having those pedals on a flat surface makes them easier and more comfortable to use. Yeah, it adds a couple minutes to setup/teardown, but I think it's worth it. Just my $0.02

I would never put it in the middle like that. It needs to be by itself.
@iamshredder35872 ай бұрын
I do too lol. Except for one neat board ive got that's angled but has a slightly depressed section on the far right sized for a crybaby or under that is near level but slightly raised and I find it just fits me perfect when I'm sitting on a stool playing and working it. And stops my smaller thus annoyingly mobile pedals from becoming a wah-nana peel to slide ass up on)))

I loved the tip of only putting velcro on the part of the pedals that actually touch the pedalboard in stead of covering the whole thing with velcro. It looks much better. However instead of only putting one part of the velcro on the pedal and the other part directly on the board I find it much easier to just put both parts under the pedal with the sticking part down and then carefully place the pedal where it should be on the board. 👍🏻

I've never used pedals before and I have two that I cannot get any sound from my guitar when hooked up. I have a 750 Looper and a Boss tuner. Can anyone explain how to connect these two pedals together so everything works properly, or perhaps point me to a web page that would show me? Thank you for any help.
@sid35gb6 жыл бұрын
Bud M. The boss tuner will mute the signal when switched on using the output socket. As for the looper you’ll need to read the troubleshooting section of the manual for that if you don’t have it you should be able to find a copy online 😉

I would put the fuzz before the tuner. Especially a boss tuner with buffer, but otherwise fairly solid info
@onlyusernameleft25 ай бұрын
I counted 5 pedals before the Fuzz Face. Putting just the Boss tuner ahead of it is going to cause problems. Germanium fuzzes are impedance dependent and if they aren't getting signal directly from your guitar's pickups it's not going to sound like it's supposed to. That mistake will take way more than 5 minutes to troubleshoot if you aren't aware of how pedals actually work together in a signal chain.

Hello, I watched your video on the essential pedals to have. I have the: Cry Baby Wah, MXR Phase 90, Boss Blues Driver-BD2 and a Boss Distortion DS-1. I purchased a Donner power supply, with 8 nine volt outputs. In what order should I place that line-up of pedals? Thanks for your help!
@darealzinlord4 жыл бұрын
In personal experience, I would place the distortion first, then the wah pedal, with the blues driver in third, and the phase finishing it off. But, that is just my opinion. You can experiment with your sound however you see fit to get the sound you want for your playing. Rock on brother 🤘
@stefanos77243 жыл бұрын
in my experience wahs always first, they dont tend to like getting fed distorted sounds. Then I would go for the distortion second and blues driver third (most people put overdrive before distortion but I like it this way). The phase can either go after the wah and before distortion, or after distortions. I prefer putting it before the distortion cause it sounds more like the records I have heard, but either works so you can try them out and see how it all sounds. (So my preferred order would be 1. wah 2.phase 3.distortion 4. drive ). Of course all of this is subjective so just experiment with all the different sounds. I know I'm a year late but hey, why not?
@sivertSt026 жыл бұрын
where would you put an eq pedal?
@amelyalilyorme12475 жыл бұрын
Big stivert depends what you want to do with it. If you’re correcting problem frequencies, put it just after whatever’s causing those frequencies, if you’re just using it to shape a sound, put it wherever sounds best, I’d suggest near the beginning, but that’s personal preference

Why are these things so costly? It's really just about 6-8 thin pieces of metal screwed together with some foam/Velcro slapped on top. I've bought a weight bench complete with bar and 60kg of concrete filled weights for cheaper than these. Why not mention the prices in the videos? It's like you want people to go looking elsewhere (eBay, Amazon, Alexi, etc.) just to find the price of these things only to find cheaper. Great video as always but by golly pedals and pedal boards piss me off with their ridiculous prices.

Omg wtf? Why do you need 50 pedals? What is the point of getting a distortion pedal if the amplifier already has distortion? Pitch pedal? Jesus, what happened with old school amplifier+ a guitar and play music? Just 1 pedal costs 30$ on Amazon. Imagine getting 10 of those plus the guitar and accessories plus cables etc. Wtf. I only need 1 single pedal that reduces the noise from overdrive that's it.
