i have a panasonic ptae3000 and i use a 200 inch diagonal flat wall, dulux matt paint, and surround sound c/o six 40 year old 15 inch tannoy ardens, results = bloody fantastic, i don't do a thing except zoom to fit the aspect ratio of the media and focus, if i drop a DLP will i get 921,600 x 7 years bad luck from broken mirrors ???

How do I set my insight-is770 projector to 3d mode
@ZE0SPantera12 жыл бұрын
The projector is sending out a perfect grid of pixels 1920 wide by 1080 high no matter what. Using DIGITAL keystone correction means the 1920x1080 source image can no longer be sent to each pixel 100% accurately. Just one notch of keystone adjustment probably removes 30-50 pixels of width at the top most line, split between both sides. By the middle 15-25 pixels are removed and compressed on each side and everything in between is removed and the image scaled down for easier video processing.

Most people have a long distance from the projector to their AV rack. I would recommend an active HDMi cable. And try to avoid keystone correction..

Could You Explain More About Focus Adjusting, The Working Principle, Which Lens Is Being Used For That
@dghn111 жыл бұрын
The throw ratio is usually defined as lens-screen distance divided by screen width. But this video shows lens-screen distance divided by screen diagonal. This is a major mistake. Why did the guys say "width" yet the image showed diagonal. I am poised to buy a projector based on my defined. Please can anyone confirm or correct me. Ta.

I have a £30 10m HDMI cable and have had nothing but issues with handshakes and blurring. Previous short run 5m cable never had any issue so an expensive cable for a long run is important. Especially if it is going into plaster which inst accessible easily
@ParanormalIndiana7 жыл бұрын
I agree with Wayne. It all sounded good, if not somewhat generic, until that point. 'High quality cables' in HDMI-world will not improve anything picture or sound-wise. HDMI is digital, so it'll either work or it won't - there is no middle ground. A $3 cable performs as good as a $500 cable, unless you're comparing building quality and/or running the cable over really long lengths (50' +).

Today it makes lots of difference. Don't you think so?

NEVER EVER try and fix an HD projector with Keystone correction. That automatically takes a high-def image to standard def because it has to remove/mux pixels across every horizontal and vertical line.. IE ruining the picture. Just move the projector to be level and square. Yeah High end HDMI is BS. Digital is Digital and cable quality only comes into it at extreme lengths.

I've tested my "10x HDMI cables for £5"-chinese cheapo HDMI cable, versus my uncles professional +£100 HDMI cables, and besides the fact that 2-3 of the chinese cables didn't have a signal, the rest of them gave the same result as the £100 cable.

Use a high quality HDMI cable? Proof that they don't know what they're talking about. HDMI is purely digital. 1s and 0s go in, 1s and 0s go out. It either works or it doesn't, under 10 meters you should buy the cheapest HDMI cable you can get your hands on.
@Domi131410 жыл бұрын
exactly, you hit the nail on the head. Also if they really knew what they were talking about, they would mention quality loss with keystone correction
@kb98519 жыл бұрын
+Wayne Briggs Good quality HDMI Cables can help cut the time it takes the signal to reach, this cut in time is minimal and is not that important in normal use but if you are going to use the projector for gaming, this reduce in delay can be very important. I am no professional by any means :)
@jasonsong869 жыл бұрын
+Wayne Briggs Actually, no. High quality cabling means better capacitance and resistance coupling. When you have cable that long, the capacitance and resistance act like filters capping high frequency signals from sending to the other side. Yes it's digital but the signal still has highs and lows and when high does not hit as high, it will be misinterpreted as low signal and thats when errors happen.
@jazzcat1238 жыл бұрын
Not Entirely true. Digital signals can and will degrade in weird and wonderful ways with poor quality cables. Its not as clear cut as simply, it does or doesn't work. Super expensive cables are indeed snake oil. But a cheap cable wont last as long as a medium grade or high grade cable in environments where its being flexed a lot. Generally speaking, signal integrity on longer cables is better if you go for higher quality. Allowing you to run higher resolutions and refresh rates over long distances that exceed the original HDMI specification.

First of all, you are fixing the image being projected -not the projector- with keystone correction. Second, as it is the image you would be concerned with, I would rather have a squared off image over a tapered one when using the projector. Third, how is expanding or condensing pixels with keystone correction any different than zoming the image in or out? Answer: it isn't. Bottom line, use keystone correction whenever you need it. Not every projector can be placed dead center of the image.

Surely You dont know anything about high quality sound or video! I have had very shitty HDMI cables (weird signal or low audio quality), usually those are sleeved cables or very thin HDMI cables. When you buy 1000-10000$+ worth of hightech devices you dont skimp on low quality cables .... :/
