I wish I would have seen this before running to the pet store to get new replacement blades which didn’t fit. After I saw this video I realized that the old blades were installed wrong and they worked like a charm. This was the best tutorial and I appreciate you taking time to share your knowledge.

God bless you bro. Just got it. Shaved, bathed and now in Church. This is my 1st time resetting the blades of my clipper myself. And the problem was that the lever didn’t lap well with the new blades grove. So I trimed the lever a bit. Made it ever all the way, then when i screwd it tight it didn't lap. Then i loosed it and made it sit on the lever and carefully placed the blades and screwed gently to hold and reposition the little blades untill they lapped as you showed us the teeths should lapped then tightened and started it and the blades didn't fall off this time as did after the vendors set it themselves. But then it made a loud noise then i screwed the voltage screw up n down till the sound was gentle n smooth. Then shaved the hair on my hand to make sure its working ir did. Then shaved myself neat and jumped in n out the bathroom n out to Church. Just singing the Entrance him now b4 the Priest comes in. Took me about 45mins to sort it. Got it on the 3rd time. Almost gave up cos was running late to Church. Thanks to you i look good on my bday.

Thank you! First, you helped me to become familiar with my new Wahl (battery type, made in Vietnam, no adjustments here, but mechanics similar), then I decided to check my ages-old SF-938 haircut machine, too, which has the same parts but much bigger (45mm, to be plugged into the mains only), get out approx. a pound of hair stubbles from the inside and do maintenance and adjustment after reassembly according to your instructions, too. It is amazing how silent that one has become now 😅.

I had all the information except the side screw voltage adjustment. I was trying to find the sweet spot for the stationary blade screw tightness since when I tightened it completely the cutting blade would not move. I could cut a bit then the screws would loosen to much and cause issues. This was perfect now I can keep a nicely manicured beard and mustache. Thank You!

i love this video. I have the Moser 1400 and the power screw seems to work in the opposite way: clockwise the noise calms down (the screw goes in) and anticlockwise the noise becomes higher (and the screw comes out). However, your model is really silent, while mine only change from noisy to extremely noisy, there is not the clear separation from "silent" and "oh, it starts screaming now"

Thanks for this tutorial, it’s a truely really informative. (The positioning between the 1st and last tooth) just one question, how do you measure the 0.8mm? The reason I ask is that I have a wahl magic and I recently adjusted/zero gapped it, and I’m not sure if it’s made things better for me, I feel that it may have made things abit harder to see (too close) on a fade (when setting a no guard open guideline & #1 guard open guideline) I’m thinking of changing it back to the factory setting, hence watching this video.

I'm not sure this is the way... kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWm8poZngNCUaK8#t=44: "The extreme left-hand tooth on the top blade should be positioned so it is over the gap between the 2 left-hand teeth of the lower blade".

My question is about the left/right alignment of the bottom blade. The top blade moves left and right, and each time you switch on the clippers then switch it off, the top blade doesn't stop in the same position every time. So when aligning the bottom blade, how do you account for this? What position of the top blade do you go off to set the bottom blade? Thanks

It started again and I tried readjusting the blades and power screw again. Blades are aligned. But the sound is very loud and even after power screw adjustment. What do I do now?

If the cutting blade can’t sit straight but sits crooked because of the plastic piece that goes in the center of it, then it’s a manufacturing defect right? The top blade on mine can’t be angled enough to compensate for the crooked sitting bottom blade. It stays crooked since the cutting blade is held in place crooked to begin with
@nihiljo2 жыл бұрын
Mine doesn't sit too , I think the who sharpened my blades changed it

Mine's doing that now and now the dam things don't move correctly since I've cleaned the hair out of them and put the blades back on. Lol it's like the hair was keeping it together 😭

My little son threw my on the floor and cutting blade shifted off it position and when I try looking into it, it fell off. Loosing the blades I noticed the foamy is torn and the white rubber/plastic have receded inside that the cutting blade can't latch on it. What do I do to fix it and align the blades again?

What do you do if you lose or misplace your filter for your Wahl ? Can you get a replacement ? Where at ?

Thank you for the cleaning and alignment advice. Does anyone know how to get a replacement for a damaged foam hair filter? Is that really necessary or is it OK to operate the device without one?
@wangchung_854114 күн бұрын
You can make your own replacement foam filter from a piece of similar material. I wouldn’t recommend running the clippers without a filter as hair can enter the motor
