Thank you buddy for this video, I have a tower coming later today to point the front of my house and hopefully get on the roof to sort out some pigeons under my solar panels. I have never used one of these before so this video really helped structure what I need to do. Fab!

Nice one definitely some good tips there!👍 For the platform I have tied a straps on both sides and pulled up over the tower to get up and tie so it's taking the weight then use the strap on the other side to lift. Not perfect but takes some of weight out of lifting the platform! 😃

Not a bad idea that mate! I’ll be sure to try that next time🙌🏽👍🏽

I put one up alone today for the first time working on my own, the videos that Google suggested were useless, I've watched this after the event and it would have helped me a lot, as it was I worked it out on my own. The platform is the hardest, at your age I might have lifted it like you did but not at my age (65) I hoisted it up with straps tying them off with leaving enough slack to clip it in place but not enough to fall. My frame was lightweight DIY and you could not climb on the support struts like you did, this should really be avoided but if mine was as strong as yours I would have and would have been safer than hanging inside each side frame. The one thing that you did which is an absolute no-no especially as there were no outriggers was when you were lifting the platform, you climbed on the outside and worse still on the long side away from the building, it was just as well that you had levelled it and it was a heavier tower as otherwise it could have fallen backwards, the other side would have fallen towards the house which would have been safer but its a strict rule that you should never climb up the outside as I'm sure you know well. I think you just boxed yourself into a corner on the last bit probably through doing it in front of the camera. Thanks for the video, it would have helped me a lot but should carry a warning about never climbing on the outside.

If someone had filmed me putting mine up it would have replaced the Two Ronnies "Four Candles" sketch as the best British comedy..... I near had a hernia, then spent the next three days saying Hail Mary's every time I went up the bl**dy thing (and I'm not even Catholic). Nice one Kieren - you've just made me feel even more inadequate - although in my defence, I am 68 !!!

Hi Kieran. Can you put the platform on the very top section of the tower? Would this be a risky thing to do? If I need to reach my roof which is about 5m in height, what type of tower should I go for? 6m, 7m?

Thanks for this video. I've been up on one recently and it moves more than yours. Going to reposition the diagonals and crossmembers like yours are as looks super rigid!

Would have been far better if he had read the manual! Another accident waiting to happen. And don't check for level, until you have the base fully cross braced. If you want to know how to do it properly, try searching you tube for the manufacturers assembly videos.(Lewis?) They do it conforming to the latest H & S advice.

always put horizontals( reds)on the upright then you can set it up without worrying that it will fall over ..why do you not use the ladder provided.this is all wrong.how you haven't hurt yourself . you should take this down.this is how not to set up a tower.
