This segment is on how to settle young pigeons, pigeons up to 5-7 weeks of age. Pigeons more then 8 weeks of age might require a different method. If young birds aren't settled properly early on, they're muscles will grow in, and they'll get too strong on the wing and take off too far, too high, and too fast, and will get lost. You gotta get them to learn early on, they're not like other pigeons, they're speedy and fast birds who loves to fly so you gotta teach them early on and train them properly to prevent losses.
Sorry for my speech problems: I try to explain kinda thoroughly, my speech isn’t that good, my voice isn’t good, I’m known to stutter a lot at times, but at least i kinda get the idea explained as best as I could. Subscribe if you haven’t:)

I like your ground entrances. That works great for young birds.

Good job man! I am currently on my second release of my 60 day old's and some that are a little older they flew at night the first time came back in flew together and second time it was raining late in the evening I kinda prefer that hawks and falcons stay away in the rain, I also do the evening thing one to two hours before dark in the beginning especially now in the winter

Can i train 2 racing pigeon to home? They just hatched, was thinking at 2 months of age to open the door and let them out and then a 2 weeks later of loft flying take them down the street and start the training. Is that okay?

That’s usually ok, just gotta make sure they have flown around and disappeared for atleast 40 plus minutes before putting them in the basket.

Bought new young pigeons from a owner never flew before. So shoukd I tied their 8 9 10th flights for a couples of weeks? Or should I just let it be and they'll eventually be comfortable and not flying off? Newbie and starting this hobby. TIA

How old exactly are the young pigeons, if 5-6 weeks, and never flown you can let them out soon after few days, I settled birds in 3 days regularly. But most fanciers will usually wait 10-days to 2 weeks before letting out. If the birds are two months old, they’ll usually be strong on the wings, you can do what you wrote about 9-10th, or you can just let them be, and if fhey stay they stay. All birds will usually stay, and only some will take off too far, just make sure no hawks are around, first few days are crucial for settling and letting them get used to their environment.

Nyob zoo Xyooj brother, I recently purchased some young birds (3-4 months old) that has never been out before at their previous loft (birth place). I have brought them over to my loft to settle. How long should I keep these new birds in my loft before I can open the loft for them? Thank you.

you should clip their 8-10th flight feathers. let them stay in the loft for two weeks, but make sure they can see the surroundings. then let open the door for them to explore and walk around and enjoy the yard. after exploring for a month you can pull the clipped feathers, the feathers will grown back within a month. and during that time they'll eventually learn to fly around in your area and not be too strong on the wing. or you can use the methods from my other video, titled- how to settle old birds.

beast45rj she’s already healed. She was supposed to return back to work already but we want to wait just a few more days. The virus RNA strands dies after 10days so they’re no longer infectious, and no longer reproduce. We just want to wait a complete 14 days just to make sure that all is good, but yeah she’s been in good health and strong ever since she started our COVID Combat methods, thanks for asking. Hope that method helps you and your family and friends as well. God Bless!!

Either too many birds or set up too small. Looks like an aviary for two canaries. If they move they have to bump into another pigeon, only perches are to narrow to turn around and wire to sit on! This is where they spend most of their life it should be a lot better than this.

There’s plenty of room. Breeders aren’t over crowded. Young birds have enough perches, and the outside to spend flying if they want. Plus more birds equals more body heat, to help stay warm during winter season
