How to setup 3D Volumetric Light - After Effects Tutorial

This tutorial show how to setup 3D volumetric light in After Effects. In the tutorial I used stock footage but the same effect could be achieve with a 3D model. As long as you have a camera in the composition
Expression used on "Center" value in CC Fast Radial Blur:

I suggest you put the text underneath the adjustment layer and above the footage. Doing so makes the light rays interact with the text layer.
