How to Setup a Dashcam For Your Car - Tips and Practices (ENGLISH VERSION)

Although this video shows some basic features of the apeman dash cam mini c420, it is focused on how to install a camera for your car.
It does not have much science and we intend with this video, to encourage all those who want to do it, to install it and realize how simple it is and what tricks you should take into account.
We have tested the excellent dashcam models from Apeman, as well as Rove and Wheelwitness (currently not available) In this case we share with you our experience with the Apeman Mini Dashcam C420.

For how long the capacity save videos in it? Is it enough for one day long?

You may get about 16 hours stored in 128 GB. Specially in higher resolution cameras nowadays

I have a toguard cam it worked taking video the first week but the second week it only took parking pictures only and I made road trips no video . Please help thank you ?

You may have it configured wrong. I suggest you reset it and leave defaults. Maybe change resolution. Ourt of the box works just by starting your car.

Some models come with a USB type B cable others with micro USB and others wth Type C. you can get a USB type B, micro or C to make it work with your computer.

I don't think so, at the most 128 GB and the Vantrue N2S (amzn.to/3BGnH8O )for example (which we've used and tested and is outstanding) uses 256 GB

Yes you can configure how long you want each clip.

But how do you use it? Does it continually record and after a crash or incident you just unplug it and download the vids? Does it overwrite the old vids? Do you have to hit record after an incident to save? Can you run out of space? I want to know how to use the thing. My user manual doesn't tell me and none of the videos online say anything either.

You must connect the microSD to a computer to backup or save files saved by the camera. It records for a few more seconds after disconnecting the ignition. Once memory card is full it will overwrite older files. Everyonce in a while go ahead and format it. Good practice is to keep a spare microSD in your glove compartment.

How do you view the files plz

You can directly watch them in any computer using your prefered video player or use a card reader to watch them in your cell phone. You can always choose to watch them directly through the camera... but such small screens... Our advice always is to carry in your glove compartment a 32 GB micro SD spare so you can just swap them and take the one you want to review to your PC.

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME . This video was all about how to route the cables. I was hoping to see how to change the settings on the camera i.e. sensitivity, file deletion, format the HD CARD etc. stuff like that.

Sorry about that. We do have another video for that, but not as an excuse keep in mind that dashcams come preconfigured and is a good idea not to change the default settings, unless a particular lighting condition you are going to use it at,,, or, setting up wifi for devices that supoort it, so the app can access directly the camera.

And sometimes it has happened. Some people have opted for other mounting options directly to the car's structure. But that is being over cautious. Most videos are used to help other people.
