nice, came back and put palworld on its own IP address, makes me a little more comfortable isolating it even further.

Very cool. Is there a way to get an invite code for your server? I have Palworld on GamePass/PC and there are no community servers, you can only host or join via invite code. It's a pale comparison to the Steam version

I’m not actually hosting a server. This was just for teaching…

I'm having an issue where the server shows up in Palworld but my friends get an error when joining. However I can join using the local ip x.x.x.x:8211 option. I'm sure I've opened the ports on PFSense. Any ideas?

Is the port open on your ISPs router?
@foulwin97195 ай бұрын
@@SPXLabs I've got the router bridged to PFSense box, so everything is running through PFsense. I'm looking at Outbound NAT rules as this is the first game server I've set up.

@foulwin9719 hmmm. Try a port scan on your WAN IP and see if 8211 is open? Like nmap or other tool.
@foulwin97195 ай бұрын
@@SPXLabs Downloaded Nmap and the 8211 Palworld port is not being shown when I did a nmap -sU -v my.wan.ip.address so it looks like it's not open despite my best efforts.

How can we set up a local network only server?
@SPXLabs5 ай бұрын
Set public to false then connect by the servers IP and port. So in this case 192.168.0.69:8211

Sadly this still start running like dog shit really quickly with multiple users, seems to be related to the games updates though
