How To Setup a SoundSwitch Venue and Add Light Fixtures

Man....Im only about 2 minutes into this and I can already tell I finally found a real explanation on how to use this software. I always knew it was capable of great things I just never found any real life instructions until now...I have control one and prime 4 ...But getting those 2 to sync up is darn impossible...but at least now I can use it in stand alone mode and have a better idea on how to program tracks and or static looks, autoloop presets etc. Thanks Brian!!!!!!

Hi Brian - Question, I'm having issues connecting my "overseas" purchased uplights (RGBWAUA) to sound switch. All other fixtures are patching and functioning very well however the 20 or so units I have do not seem to be connecting. I should mention I am using wireless DMX provided my Chauvet and I'm winding if there is channel incompatibility with the wireless transmitter from the SS controler one to the generic uplights? Thoughts and hope your day is going well! JP

I have 20 uprights color coded on the fixture into 4 groups of 5. I alternate them so that I can run the chases just like you do. I played with doing 20 sets of channels and 1 set of channels..but 4 does seem to be the best compromise. mine are wireless and I actually set them and disconnect them from SS until the reception.

I'm trying to add my Astera AX1 pixel tubes to my soundswitch, when I search for them I get 8 different options to select .... I'm confused as to which one to select. Does this sound correct?

I have mini moving heads that are unbranded, they work amazing but I don’t know how to upload them into sound switch?? Any tips?

Go into edit mode go to the plus icon then go and type generic type in what watts the lights are for example mine are 60w so I would select 60 w spots then click ok make sure the DMX address is set set correctly on the light and the program. Then you should be good to go

Honestly, seems very unintuitive. Think I’m going to return my Control one and just get the adj Wolf mix. Soundswitch just looks like an absolute nightmare. One of those things that I think most people that own it don’t use it because it’s just a absolute nightmare
