owner of one here. for the money you pay for, it's worth it. I have mounted an Alexa Mini, Sony F5 with Angenieux 16-40mm zoom in full gear on the back of a pickup truck for a Suzuki sedan commercial. It sure will need a shock absorber to kill your vertical vibration that your Ronin or Movi can't do. so I did mounted one in between the movie pro and the neck. this means I am meeting the maximum payload pretty much. I also operate off a Movi mimc mounted on a fluid head in the passenger seat. anyways, I won't recommending shooting anything off road!!! I Did a few modification and basically reinforcement around $1000 USD. they are mostly for safety concerns. It does come in 2 cases in wheels and extendable handle which is handy but I never bother to break it down and just leave it in the corner of the room. it does have a weight distribution problem when extending the arm. so maybe not a good idea to plan a telescoping shot with it. in my experience, camera can travel 2 ft max in a steady horizontal telescoping shot. it's just not easy, especially when the arm is almost in horizontal! so do not easily think it can replace a dooly. I wish it can too!! There are specs on their website or you can just google it. one more thing, yes, the operator end does extend a bit too when the neck is extending out, but it never seem to be a problem to me so far coz it's not that much. it's lightweight and easy to transport and I do concern about the durability. I am now trying to keep it within the payload which means I have took some weight off the camera end, and I always have 2 safety chain, one on Movi and the other on camera. I know its a mock off an Russian version I seem a while back and you can rent one at filmdynamics which seem to be more rigid with longer range, but it is so much fun with a movi or ronin or just any remote camera stabilizer. think about what a cheap DJI Osmo can do for it in a super low budget film? after all, I hope it will never break when a camera is mounted on. if it does, I will post up here. oh right, carbon fiber legs can be raised too , but I only tried a few time coz I don't really need that height. coz when you have an arm can goes up that much, the base height doesn't really matter that much in my opinion. The caster wheels can be removed for sure and thats' pretty much all I know.

Hey Scott, what material is the XX part of the crane? Looks kinda plasticy but I'm curious what it actually is.

I am not 100% sure on the material but we had a fabricator came in to reinforce the unit, and he says it's not aircraft grade aluminum. he also inspect the structure and all bolts and nuts, the built quality isn't too bad. From my limited experience with the toy so far, if you keep you weight capacity within its limit, you should be fine. I had put the unit on the back of a pick up truck for a Suzuki commercial. it did look a bit scary while the camera swinging like crazy, but overall result is fantastic for the money you paid for.

Dragonfly Media Yes the legs are adjustable although when I get mine I won't be purchasing the legs and dolly. I'll be using a stronger and bigger tripod along with a heavy duty dolly.

I had a few questions. Although I don't think they'll be answered. Is their any sort of lock on the crane while fully extended so I'm able to swing the crane both ways without it going up or down and also a lock so it doesn't swing side to side and just up and down Also does the head pan and tilt at the same time. I think these are very vital questions that need to be answered. Thank you

wow never saw this one before thats crazy now you said you can use it at any length... does it lock at any length or only when fully extended and retracted?

It doesn't lock. It just stops. The motor is geared to the system, and it can't adjust unless the motor turns.

The function is similar to a technocrane where you can go up down, or push in on a shot, or pull back. Yes very nice jib.
